Despite feeling so tired, Agnes couldn"t sleep. The best she could do was to snuggle down in bed and try to relax. Everything that had happened since she arrived at the hotel kept churning through her mind in a continuous loop. The first couple of days had been peaceful enough, but since the theft of Mrs Hargreaves"s necklace, she felt as though she had been caught up in an ever circling whirlwind. After an hour, she decided it was useless to lie any longer. What was the point? She was more restless now than she was before she climbed between the sheets.
