After the call with Oryx, I decided to take a nap and sighed heavily, staring into space before dozing off, I don't know how long I slept, my sleep was interrupted by the heavy knock on the door and I got up to see who is at the door, I opened the door to see Leo standing at the door as if terrified of something.

"what's wrong" I asked him with a sharp gaze.

"hey don't do that again" he told me breathing heavily.

"don't do what exactly" I said with my brow furrowed.

"locking the door" he pointed to the door "do you know how terrified i am, I thought something happened to you".

As you can see am fine, just taking a nap "I raised my hand up and turned around for him to ensure that am actually fine.

He felt a wave of relief" but don't lock the door next time "he said to me as if he was scolding a three year old child.

" yes boss " I said playfully and I chuckled slightly.

" I mean it"he said as he turn around to leave"we will be leaving in an hour "he said glancing at his clock and not looking back.

" where are we going to "I asked him because am kinda confused,he turn back and look at me surprisingly.

" don't tell me you forget about the dinner party"he asked me

"oh" as am about to say something, he interrupt me

"the dress you are wearing is in the dress room and the makeup artist is on their way so go back inside and be a good girl" he said and walked away, I felt like am scolded by my brother, well he is more than a brother to me because he stood by me even when am at my low.

After some minutes the make up artist arrived, she was actually pretty but I don't know why Leo did not allow the industry artists to handle it, lost in thought her voice brought me back from the wonder land

"good evening Ms Beryl, shall we" she said.

I nodded in agreement "sure" I said following her to the dress room, in the space of 15 minutes she was done with the makeup and she style my hair in a way that look like a messy bun after a while she was done, I looked at the mirror and can't help but admire myself.

She said looking at me"u look pretty, am sure you gonna turn heads in your direction "

I chuckled slightly and think she was right I look splendid, just then Leo barged in

" are you re....."the remaining word stuck in his throat and he stare at me so intensively as if taking in my beauty, I snapped my fingers to jolt him back to reality" what can't I admire my little princess you look amazing"he stretched forth his hand to me "shall we".

"sure" I took him hand as he walk me out of the room to the car and he opened the door for me to enter after I did, he came to the other side of the car and entered, the driver start the car and in half an hour we finally get to our destination, Leo get out of the car to open the door for me, he stretched his hand and I took it as I step out of the car, I can feel a lot of eyes on me, he stretched his arms and I slide my hand into him arms I always know Leo because he is good at putting on a show. We stepped inside the five star hotel and we head straight to the private room to see that everyone is around, taking a deep breath I sat across the table before the director raised a glass.

"let's us congratulate Beryl for the job well done" he said and everyone clapped there hands in unison, I stood up to give a speech.

" I would not have finished this project if not for everyone" I raised my glass "I would like to firstly thank our director for the love he has shown toward this project, secondly I would love to thank my manager Leo for his support and love towards me even though he could be tough sometimes" everyone bust into laughter "I also use this opportunity to thank the crew for the job well done and the make up artists who put in so much effort to make me look like a doll" everyone bust into another round of laughter "without you guys, this project won't have been a success, so let's celebrate" I round up my speech.

Everybody start the celebration, sound of glass clicking fill the air and echoes of laughter.

"well well well"

Everyone including me turn to see the owner of the voice, it's was no other person than Alexie my rival or should I say my enemy because we are one of the five top actress in the country, the sound of her heels echo in the room and she walked with effortless grace and swayed her hip in a seductive way, I looked at her with disdainful eyes, she got in front of me.

"do you hate me that much that you didn't invite me" she said with a smirk on her lips.

"the people here are already enough for the celebration so having another person here will be suffocating" I told her looking calm

"u are right Beryl, it's getting stuffy in here" Leo said pretending to fan his face with his hand.

Everyone start adding fuel to the matter.

"it's true"

"oh my God I'm getting sweaty"

"me too"

Alexie turned around to see everyone reactions, she was so embarrassed to the extent that she had to hold onto to a chair to steady herself.

"can u see u are not wanted here" I said with a smirk on my face.

She clutched her fist and I was satisfied with the look on her face

"...." she couldn't find the right words and she stormed out of the room.

I returned to my seat and raised a glass "shall we" they all raised a glass and cheers to each other, gulping down the wine in one go, I heaved a sign of relief.
