I was in a lot of pain. This is heartbreak I guess. I still hadn't heard from Amirah. This was just like before...I always seem to pick the ones who have no loyalty.
I came home from work, excited to see Nicola. I had picked up the large teddy bear she had asked for and a bag of gummy worms, her favorite treat during our special time. I was ready to make this official. SHe could be the one. As soon as I opened the door I knew something was wrong. It didn't smell or feel like home. Too quiet and too clean. I saw so much missing when I hit the living room. I dropped everything I Was holding and ran to tour bedroom . I saw the closet open and her half emptied out. A note lay on the bed.
