Episode 3: The Day of Training

357 Words
Bryson woke up early, feeling a mix of excitement and nerves. He had spent the previous night crafting a small, one-room boat, hoping it would be useful for their journey to the Arabic Mountain. Avery, his trainer, inspected the boat and nodded in approval. "This might come in handy, but don't forget, today's the day your training begins." Bryson nodded eagerly, and Avery started the training session by dropping a rock and throwing more at him. "What's this for?" Bryson asked, dodging the rocks. "I'm teaching you to control your reflexes," Avery replied. "You need to learn how to react to unexpected attacks." The training session continued, with Bryson struggling to keep up with Avery's demands. He failed to dodge a large rock, and Avery criticized his performance. Bryson complained that the training was too hard, and Avery retorted, "How can I work with someone who doesn't even know how to hold a sword?" Bryson admitted that he knew only one fighting trick – throwing mini knives. Avery dismissed this as insufficient, emphasizing that Bryson needed more training. Meanwhile, Ryder was furious when Groteus, the man he had sent to kill Bryson, returned empty-handed. Ryder ordered Groteus to find and eliminate Bryson. As Bryson continued his training, he grew frustrated with Avery's methods. Avery criticized his lack of progress, and Bryson complained that he couldn't learn without being happy. Avery stormed off, leaving Bryson feeling defeated. However, Groteus soon appeared, capturing Avery and threatening to kill her. Bryson received the news and rushed to rescue Avery. He disguised himself as a guard and infiltrated Ryder's boat, where he found Avery captive. After a daring rescue, Bryson and Avery jumped off the boat and escaped. However, their reunion was short-lived, as Avery left Bryson to retrieve the boat. Bryson confronted Groteus, who taunted him about his lack of power. Enraged, Bryson beheaded Groteus. Avery returned with the boat, and they made their escape. Ryder, enraged by their escape, vowed to take revenge. Ryder sent a message to Bryson, revealing that he had taken Bryson's stepbrother, Landon, and his mother captive. Ryder threatened to kill them unless Bryson returned.
