“Really?” Vince scoffed, his tone laced with mockery. His smirk grew, sharp and biting. “Wouldn’t it be strange, Cedrick, to chase after someone who’s already married? Tell me, how does that make sense in that noble head of yours?”
Right. I was married—to Tyrone. He's the beta of our pack, the one and only rival of Cedrick. Vince is right, this is a humiliation he might not want to associate himself with.
