Eloise’ POV My mind couldn’t quite grasp what I was witnessing. "Why are you holding Alpha Xenon like that? Are you two... fighting?" Cedrick’s eyes were burning with a fury I hadn’t seen in him before. There was nothing but pure rage in his gaze, a fire that seemed to consume him from the inside out. For a moment, I thought I had made a mistake in speaking up, but then, unexpectedly, his expression softened. The fire in his eyes dimmed just slightly, and his grip on Xenon’s collar loosened. Before I could process what was happening, Cedrick moved so quickly that it left me breathless. He stepped forward, closing the distance between us in the blink of an eye like he had wings instead of feet. His sudden movement was like a gust of wind, swift and powerful.
