I couldn’t decide if the man before me was an ally or an enemy. One thing was clear, though—he was someone I should tread cautiously around. The way he cursed while asking my name hinted at an unpredictability I couldn’t afford to underestimate.
What unnerved me even more was his insight. He knew I carried the alpha’s child without a hint of doubt. If he could sense that from just a glance, then what else was he capable of? What other secrets could he pry from thin air? He was dangerous, an untapped force that would surely complicate my life.
