Ethan was in the middle of reviewing a proposal when his secretary's voice crackled through the intercom.
"Mr. Wayne, Samantha is here to see you," she said, her tone hesitant. It was obvious that Samantha was not taking no for answer, otherwise she wouldn't have bothered her boss.
Ethan froze mid-note, his pen hovering above the paper. "Samantha?" he echoed, surprised. He didn't need to ask to know which Samantha she was referring to. Why would Samantha come to see him? He really wasn't on the mood to tolerate her drama for any reason today.
"Yes, sir. Should I tell her you’re unavailable?" The secretary asked.
Ethan exhaled slowly, running a hand through his hair. "No, send her in," he said.
