WAYNE MANSION Ethan and his grandmother sat at the dining table. The clinking of cutlery and the gentle sound of the air conditioner filled the silence. The aroma of roasted chicken, creamy mashed potatoes, and seasoned vegetables should have made the meal comforting, but there was an unmistakable tension in the air. Ethan glanced at his grandmother.
