One second, two seconds... Lauren felt her breathing become increasingly difficult, as if her lungs were about to explode.
Kane's eyes were filled with disgust, a cold smile hanging on the corner of his lips. Just as Lauren was about to suffocate, he abruptly released his grip, squeezing out a single word from between his teeth: "Get out!"
Lauren fell heavily to the ground, her hair disheveled and scattered across her flushed face, her eyes filled with both fear and unwillingness.
