Violet twists her neck to try to see Rosa’s face, but everything is dark and there are still clouds of dust. They are two disembodied voices.
‘I think I’m all right,’ Violet says, ‘but my leg is stuck.’
‘Does it hurt?’
‘It’s just pressure. It’s uncomfortable. What on earth happened?’
Rosa is not concerned about what has happened; she is only concerned about finding a way out of this situation. Mobile phones begin to ring around them.
