“Are you even listening to me, girl?” April snapped, hitting my arm. “Ouch,” I whined, rubbing the spot where she'd hit me. “Can't believe you didn't hear a word I said,” she pouted, looking away. “I'm sorry…” but it's impossible to concentrate on her when her Dad's blowing up my phone with the nastiest, unholy messages. I'm trying not to read them but the fact that I'm ignoring him seems to be pissing him off even more. He won't stop sending those messages. And they're nasty, my God.
