The class ended two hours later. I kept my head low throughout those hours, unable to look at him. Knowing he was finally leaving brought a bit of calmness to me. “I learned that he gave you guys an individual project,” he said, packing his books. It was officially the end of the class. Some voices mumbled a “yes”, while others whined. “He asked me to collect them. So this is what we're gonna do, yeah?” I wasn't listening. I mean, I was, but I was more panicky about the fact that I hadn't completed my project. How could I when Mum wouldn't give me a break?
