After making it into her office early the next morning, Taylour sat down at her desk at her office and pulled out a fresh yellow legal pad. She reveled at the opportunity to try a big case. A murder trial! Finally, something that she could really sink her teeth into. And, the best part? That money was no object.
She had already written down the categories that she needed to organize Sarah’s case: People, Documents, Events, Places, and Things. Under People she wrote down the names: Sarah Cockrell Baines (defendant and wife of the deceased), Neil Baines (deceased).
She paused and thought for a moment, and then wrote: Unknown Assailant. She left the rest of that page blank for future names that would come up and then flipped to the next page.
