Chapter 28
Roman listened to the latest recordings made from his bugs in Taylour’s office, but there was no discussion about the murder. In addition, there had been no mention of where Sarah was. A loud exhale escaped from Roman, and then he slowly lifted himself up. It was time to turn up the heat.
He pulled out his phone and dialed.
"Law Offices of Taylour Dixxon, this is Betty. How may I help you?"
"Ah, yes, I was told to call this number as I am trying to reach my sister, Sarah Cockrell."
A slight pause, and then, "May I ask who's calling?"
"This is her brother, Blaine Cockrell."
Another pause, this time a bit longer. "Mr. Cockrell, I am unable to provide that to you over the phone. Would it be possible for you to come by our office?"
