He also could survive for some period without eating so he chose to avoid wasting daily.
No one knew what could happen and he had no knowledge about the dark space.
Or it is important to say the civilization in which he had woken up had not come in contact with the dark space.
He floated in the dark space for a week before preparing another meal, he had a tough time since he could not be capable of finding his way out of this place.
He even doubted whether he had really escaped the secret real to save himself or just to get himself in more danger.
Alomg the way he managed to avoid some spatial storms but looking at them he was very scared by them.

He also thought it was the only way out.

Moving close to steal some of the material could be regarded as courting death.
