-------- "Sometimes, you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory, " --------------- summer of 2016 It was that boy again. The cheerful-looking transfer student, Andreas. Dylan gazed at him from across the room. Andreas was singing "The Good Side" by Troye Sivan, a beautiful accoustic piece that was released just recently. Dylan couldn't tell if it was the song itself that was great or if it was Andreas' lovely, calming, voice singing that made it sound so good. Mingyu was seated at a corner of the class, the sunlight beaming onto him from seeps of the window, highlighting his sun-kissed skin ( no pun intended ) , making him look like some sorta aesthetic singing god or something. And when Andreas had finished singing, he bowed as the class gave him a wild round of applause. The boy smiled widely and his canines could be seen. Making him look, well, like an overgrown puppy. Mostly due to his height anyway. Andreas was a whooping 185cm male, with dark olive eyes, curly auburn brown hair, and a gleaming smile so bright, it could replace the sun any time. The bell rang, indicating that the class was over. Dylan quickly snapped out of it and began packing his books and files, before slinging a grey denim backpack across his shoulder. He walks out of the classroom, and was greeted by his gang of friends. "Oh my god, you seriously took the music class?" Zach -- one of his friends'-- said whilst jokingly giving him a light punch on his arm. "Haha, Dylan, must've sucked to be you. You lost such an obvious bet and had to join music class," Finn laughed at him. "Yeah, music classes are for all those try-hard-nerds. How does it feel to share the same oxygen with them for 2 hours?" Evan teased. The boys continued teasing and making fun of Dylan joining the music class whilst they walked to Dylan's locker. Dylan cringed a little looking at the amount of confession letters that were stuck upon his locker. All decorated with glitter, flowers, confetti, a bunch of pink feathers and whatnot. "Disgusting. Did their pride walk out on them or something?" he said, rolling his eyes as he tears off each one and drops them to the floor. His friends added to the conversation, babbling about hot girls and stuff. Stuff that Dylan didn't really care about. Amidst the babbling of the boys, Dylan notices someone. It was the boy from his recent music class. He could see him smiling happily and having hearty conversations with some people around him, probably his friends. They were all smiling and laughing so genuinely. Dylan felt a stinging feeling in his heart. He was envious about how those people were so... lucky. So incredibly lucky to have such great, sincere friends by their side. Moreover, he didn't like how Andreas could mix around with people so easily. He didn't like Andreas, smiling so widely all the time, like a ball of sunshine. It made Dylan feel like a mere shadow. It made him feel small. He didn't like it.
