“Where do you want to go first, Quinn? My mansion? Or you will meet our father first?” Chase Morgan asked his sister, Quinn.
Quinn sighed audibly when she remembered how she had abandoned her father and promised him that she'd make Sebastian love her. She felt bad for not being able to keep her promise to her father.
“Chase! Do you think Father will forgive me?” Her voice tinged with a playful tone.
“What are you thinking? You are his favorite daughter and little princess. Surely, you will be forgiven but you might get scolded for a while.” a hint of awe creeping into his tone.
“I think I'll just spend the night in a hotel, brother! I can't bring myself to face father now, not at all.” She shook her head frantically.
“If you can't face Father now, you can just stay at my mansion instead of a hotel. Sooner or later, you'll have to face him because you have to take over his real estate company in Paris.” Chase Morgan explained.
Quinn's jaw dropped and her eyes widened in shock, “The real estate company? I can't take over that now, Chase.”
“You can't take over the company? The one you've been managing before you got married to that asshole. What's wrong Quinn? Is there anything you aren't telling your brother?” He narrowed his eyes slightly.
Quinn rubbed her palms on her stomach gently, “You see… I'm pregnant Chase.”
“Pregnant?? For that asshole? Does he know about it??” His eyebrows shot up as he threw a series of questions at Quinn.
“No, he doesn't. I don't plan on telling him about it, I'd raise the child on my own. He doesn't deserve to be the father of my child.”
“Yes, an asshole like him does not deserve to be a father. What are your plans now?”
“I want to leave the country.” She said, giving Chase a dulcet smile.
Chase became nonplussed upon hearing her decision.
Soon, the car pulled up at The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue. Reporters were outside the hotel and as soon as they caught sight of Quinn, they recognized her as Sebastian Meyer's wife.
“Mrs. Meyer, can you tell us what brings you and Mr. Chase to this hotel tonight?”
“Are you here for business or personal reasons?”
“Is there anything you would like to clarify about your relationship with Mr. Chase?”
The reporters threw several questions at Quinn as cameras snapped and blinking lights illuminated her face. Sure, this was definitely gonna be juicy news for the reporters the next day.
She was conveniently able to parry the questions that the reporters leveled at her. Although, she didn't expose her identity as the daughter of the Morgan family.

The next day at the courthouse.
Clad in a classic brown knee-length dress, Quinn gracefully emerged out of her brother's blue Maserati car. The fitted waist of the dress highlighted her figure gracefully. Her long brown hair was wrapped up in a ponytail style.
Chase hopped out of the car and held her hands with a dulcet smile. “Congratulations on taking this step towards a happier and more fulfilling future.”
“Thank you, brother.” A triumphant smile spread across her face.
Sebastian Meyer, who has been standing at the entrance of the courthouse watching them couldn't describe his feelings. At that moment, feelings of anger, jealousy, and regret surged in his heart.
They were just about to officially get divorced and she already threw herself at another rich man. Has she always been a w***e?
Although, he couldn't deny the fact that she looked so beautiful in her brown dress. He had never cared about her, so he never noticed her dressing in the house. The only time he gets close to her is during intimacy.
Why was he even thinking about her? She was just a woman who married him for his money and would never love him.
His thoughts were halted abruptly by the clinking sound of Quinn's heels getting closer to him.
“Good morning, Mr. Meyer.” Quinn greeted with an amiable smile.
Sebastian was furious at her nice gestures. How could she still remain calm, knowing that they'd be divorced soon? Was this because she was now with Chase?
“Is Mr. Chase the reason why you insisted that we divorce?” He inadvertently inquired.
Quinn scoffed, “I'm sure Mr. Meyer is prepared to go through with our divorce.”
“Sure, I am. That reminds me, are you really leaving this marriage with nothing? I can give you a very good percentage of my assets.” He stated, his tone dripping with concern.
“Can you grant me all of your fortunes?” her face lit up with a wide smile, knowing that all of his fortunes were not up to her shares of her father's inheritance.
Even up till this moment, Sebastian still believed she married him for his money. If only he knew she gave up her identity and career for him, would he have treated her better?
“You are getting out of hand Quinn.” Sebastian Meyer uttered.
Without replying to him, Quinn walked elegantly into the courthouse and he followed behind. In a few minutes, they were done with the divorce process.
They were officially divorced.
