TWO HEARTS THAT BEAT AS ONE

Days, weeks and months have passed and their friendship continues to nurture like a well-taken-care flower in the garden. They both push each other to be better in their respected jobs. When one has a bad day, the other one will try his or her best to make everyone happy. They try to remind each other of all the goals that they want to accomplish together. Beige was very busy nowadays, and she was even more committed to fulfilling her aim. She knows that by doing so her family will be proud of her. She keeps on receiving compliments from her colleagues and her boss. Lately, she’s been doing so great. Her manager even told her that there’s a big chance that she will recommend her to another big company if she continues to put extra effort into writing. She became so goal oriented that she forgot that Jim still exists. She was so focused that she didn’t have time to visit him. Jim didn’t bother her also because he wants what is best for her. He knows that being with him is not Beige’s number one priority. For all the days and nights that they didn’t see each other, Jim used it as a time for him also to be better for her and to succeed in his own life. But the feeling of loneliness and missing Beige was too much for Jim. He couldn’t seem to handle the fact that he wasn’t able to see her radiant smile more often these days. He knows that he can’t demand nor call her because, in the very beginning, there was no one of them. They were never in a relationship to begin with. Little did he know that Beige was also longing and wanting to see him. Many days had passed of not trying to disturb each other. Beige finally visited Jim’s workplace. But when she arrives there, she doesn’t see him. She was informed that it had been a week that Jim didn’t work and the staff also didn’t know what was the reason for his sudden leaving. Beige was feeling a little cold and shaky upon hearing it. She tried to contact him but he couldn’t be reached. She was starting to feel worried about him. She was out there walking in the street trying to make up her mind about where he was going. She went to a beach nearby, crying and shouting. “Where are you? Why did you have to leave me? What about our plans? When will you be back? How are you? I need you, I love you.” Her eyes were full of tears and regret. She went home that night feeling sorry for herself. The following day was so blue for her. Her coworkers started to ask questions but not one of them gave answers. She eats her favorite meal that night for her dinner. She eats ice cream and sips her cappuccino coffee. She is slowly walking until she reaches the bus stop. It was calm and quiet. She was ready to call it a day, until someone who looked very familiar suddenly appeared with a bouquet of flowers for her. It was Jim. She is not sure how to react, but one thing is certain, she misses him a lot. She cried so hard and hugged him so tight. “Did you miss me?” said Jim while smiling. Beige was so mad at him and she even slapped his chest. She asks him so many questions. He was nowhere to be found for a while because his mother needed him. He had to take good care of her. There was never a time he felt bad at his mother for leaving him behind. He was sorry while giving Beige a cute smile because he knew that she also missed him. He was glad to be back in her arms. Jim admitted to her that he missed her also. That not seeing her for such a long time, breaks his heart. He explains to her that he wants to see Beige victorious in life, but he also wants to be with her every step of the way to support her while he is achieving his own dream too. He was too afraid to lose her. Beige was delighted to hear all those words from him. She is ready to take risks for this man. She knows that she can’t stop her heart from loving this man. That night at the bus stop, everything seemed so glowing. The two of them sealed a kiss. It was a long and passionate kiss. A kiss with so many feelings and connections. A kiss that you don’t want to let go of. A kiss that you want to have forever. That night ended with the confirmation that they’re both hearts beat as one now. He rides with her on the bus while holding hands. She reaches her apartment and he bids goodbye to her. After a long day, they both knew that starting tomorrow they would create more and new memories, but this time as a couple destined for each other.
