Annabella’s POV
I learned a lot while talking to the woman. She was not a terrible woman. I found that I had misunderstood her and taken her to be harsh when she was only trying to be of help to me.
I didn’t like calling people out but if she was going to be harsh to me again, I would tell her how I felt about her attitude.
“So… how are you enjoying the pack?” she asked with her legs crossed while she stared at me with interest.
“It’s not been bad. I have friends…”
“Witches are not friends, they are former enemies. I could call them acquaintances for now but never friends.”
“Why do you have against them anyway?” I asked with folded arms. “It’s not like they’ve done anything to you.”
