Anabella
Could my luck get any worse? There were two wolves in front of me, mangy and snarling. I slowly stepped back while they continued walking forward. Fear ran down my spine. I wasn't like the glorious King Davis who could tear up seven rogue wolves at a time. I was Anabelle, a weak omega with no special abilities. I was an easy game to the two wolves.
I stood no chance to fight them, I could only do what I know how to do best. Run.
I turned and took off running, between running away from people's hateful gaze and running for my life, I preferred the former more. I kept running but they were gaining in on me, I considered shifting, but it was a painful process as an Omega and was no what since my wolf was weak anyway. I turned to check on the rogues and they were only a few meters away from me. They lunged and at about the same time, I slipped and rolled down the steep hill by the side. My body hit the ground, picking up bruises along the way. The only good thing about my fall was that the rogues didn't pursue me anymore.
I finally stopped at the bottom, which was filled with a denser forest. It was quite dark and scary. I could hear the distant howling of wolves, the chipping of birds and the rattling of forest creepers. Outside the pack was a dangerous zone that was only hunted by warriors. An average wolf wouldn't be able to survive it but I would have to learn to because I didn't want to return to my mate's pack.
First I had to find a place to stay. I picked myself up, every part of my body ached and was full of bruises which would take a long while to heal. I walked, limped through the forest, making sure to go in the opposite direction of the feral howls.
I walked for a while before seeing a small stream by a small cave, I looked around cautiously to make sure that no one was there before stripping and entering the body of water. I purred in delight as the cold water touched my skin, my bruises stung but I didn't care. I stayed there and gazed at the starry night. So much had happened over the past weeks but one thing remained the same…. I was alone, no one cared or loved me even after getting two mates in a space of weeks. I couldn't help but think that I was the unluckiest person on earth.
My stomach growled, indicating that I was hungry. I hadn't eaten anything since I ran away and after that fierce run with those rogues, I was hungrier than ever. I pulled myself out of the stream and put on my already tatted clothes before looking around for a small game that I could hunt. I didn't want to walk too far away so I don't miss the cave and stream.
I walked around for a bit and stumbled upon a small rabbit eating and minding it's own business, I slowed down and took strategic positions, my eyes not leaving the small animal. I waited, bidding my time for the perfect time to strike. And I got it.
I lunged at the animal when it least expected and held it's struggling body tight. I snapped its neck before carrying it's lifeless body with me back to the cave. I ate the meat raw since I couldn't start a fire, I didn't know when I slept off, exhausted from the stressful day.

I was there and so was King Davis. We were so happy and in love. The pack had accepted me as their Luna and I ruled them with love. It was everything I wished for.
My stomach was huge, I was pregnant with our first child. King Davis said it would be boy but I said it was a girl. He would wake me up with kisses and hugs, then he would trail small kisses from my forehead to my lips, breast and down to my stomach. I felt loved and happy.
Today, we were going to be decorating our unborn baby's room. King Davis had bought paints, furniture and toys to the empty room and told me he was going to get some snacks and would be back. In his absence, I began going through the pack of toys he brought. A smile was plastered on my face. These days I only smiled, it was show how happy I was. Everything was perfect and as it should be.
Few minutes later, Davis returned but he wasn't happy, he was furious. His eyes were red and he was growling at me. I was terrified. He wasn't the father of my child I knew, he wasn't my Davis.
Then he began shifting, he turned to a huge feral wolf and howled. I screamed but I had nowhere to run because he was blocking the entrance. I covered my pregnant belly with my hands protectively and kept yelling at him not to come any closer but he didn't listen. He ran over towards me and lunged at me, I closed my eyes and accepted my fate.
And that's when I woke up…
I heard growling and snarling, the cold of the night reminding me that I wasn't in the pack but in the dangerous forest. I jumped up in alert and looked around. The sight in front of me almost made me pee my pants. They were three feral wolves just outside the cave, they were fighting each other ferociously and tearing at themselves.
What were they fighting for?
Whatever it was, I shouldn't get caught in the crossfire. I must figure out a way to get out unscathed and without them noticing me. I began tiptoeing out of the cave as quiet as possible, even my breathing was quiet. They seemed to be fighting over something and were too engrossed to notice me so I took the opportunity to limp out of their sight.
But why was my life so miserable? Why was I so unfortunate? Just as I was one step away from entering into the cluster of dense tall trees, I mistakenly stepped on a twig and it snapped loudly.
Shit! At this point I was beginning to think I was cursed because where are all these bad luck coming from. I didn't need to check if the wolves heard it, I just took off running.
Then it suddenly struck me, was I what they were fighting for? Was I the tasty game they didn't want the other to have so they decided to fight it out?
It made complete sense now because the snarls and growls I got from before were angrier than before. Off course they would be pissed, their food was escaping.
My bones ached as I ran, I felt weak but I dared not stop. Thoughts of the pack and King Davis ran through my mind, I was safer there but I couldn't return, the shame would be to much. At this point I didn't even know how to return if I wanted, I was completely lost in this forest, being hunted on everywhere I go.
Fighting them was not an option so I had to find another way to escape from them.
Stream!
I could hide in the water till they left, it was the only way I could think of. I kept running, changing my direction to the direction of the stream. The race was fierce, these wolves. These two I encountered earlier, did not work together to catch me and share. They were against each other and while they ran, they tried to slow down the other. It was what gave me a leverage against them. I could finally hear the miraculous sound of water hitting rocks and what not which meant a river was nearby. I gathered the last strength in me and pushed myself to run a little bit more.
I turned to look behind me. Two wolves had succeeded in injuring the third wolf so they were two of them now, fighting for the one who get to eat me up.
I smirked at the both of them once I reached the edge of the medium-sized river. They should have just shared me when they got the chance.
And then I took a dive into the river…
