The Wrong Kind Of Love

Chapter one

I wake up to the sound of that damn alarm ringing beside my head, I groan and roll over searching for the annoying phone that wont shut up.

Finally locating it while my eyes are still tightly shut, I swipe my finger across turning it off.

Bringing my arm back and cover my eyes letting out another groan before lifting my arm and slowly opening my eyes letting them adjust to the sun that has started to creep its annoying self through my curtians of my room.

3, 2, 1 and yep right on time my mother and brother come barging through my bedroom door ever so loudly screaming at the top of their damn lungs "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday Leah happy birthday to you" they both sing together, reaching the foot of my bed with a dozen wrapped up boxes, yep as you can now guess today officially marks my 21st birthday.

I slowly sit up with a smile plastered on my silly little face showing off my little dimples on the sides.

"Aww you guys you shouldn't have"!

" Nonsense bean as if I'd let my only daughter off so lightly" my mother says with a cheeky little grin plastered on her face.

My mother knows how much I hate my birthday being made a big deal, but yet here we are.

"Come, get up sis I got you something special, but you need to get that ass up and out of bed" he says extending his arm out gesturing for me to grab.

I do so and let Josh pull me up and lead me out of my bedroom and down the two flight of stairs that leads to our entry way towards the front door, pulling me as fast as he can possibly walk almost making me trip a couple times, of course he doesn't let this happen.

He pauses at the front door and turns him self so his looking at me, "Cover your eyes Le" I do as I'm told and quickly cover my eyes "Now I'm going to grab your hand and walk you onto the front lawn ok, I wont let anything happen" I nod once and let Josh do just that.

I hear our Mum come outside and stands her self next to me.

"Ready Bean" I nod again with a giant smile plastered on my face.

My mother slowly removes her hands that have covered my pretty blue eyes, the sun instantly hitting them and causing me to squint, letting my blue eyed self adjust to the sun light.

Once I regain full vision, my mouth falls agape when I see what's parked in our drive way.

I look over to my brother and mother who both have cheesy grins plastered on their faces.

"Do you like it bean" my mother eagerly asks me.

Like it...holy f**k I absolutely love it!

But no words seem to come out of my mouth all it does instead is opens and closes about a million times before I can actually register what is happening.

" Did you....is this....I ju-" my sentence was cut short as my brother tugs on my arm and hands me a set of keys " all yours baby sis"

my head instantly snaps towards Josh as I look down to my hands now staring at the set of keys in my hands that clearly read BMW.

Never in my life did I ever think I'd be able to own one of these bad boys EVER!!!

"wow" is all I muster up to say...yep wow...

Bother my brother and my mother stare at me waiting for me but nothing simply comes out, for once in my short 21 years I am absolutely lost for words, which is rare for my self my mouth tends to lead me into trouble and not just a little I mean ALOT.

" First of all I'd like to say a massive bloody God damn thank you to you both" I say as I start to get a grip on my self

When on the inside all I want to do is jump up and down on the spot, ok who am I kidding I cant hold it in any longer and yep I do just that while yelling yippee and wooho and alot of omgs getting thrown around which im sure our whole damn neighbourhood can hear me.

" Well I take Leah likes it Ma" my brother says while laughing, "now son what gave you that impression" I hear ma chuckle back to Josh.

When I finally come down from my high and finish thoroughly inspecting my new set of wheels out I finally manage to speak to my family " honestly guys how could you have afforded this, now be real with me I know how much one of these bad boys costs" " well with Josh's new job and your fathers inheritance along with my wage being doubled bean we thought we get you the one true thing you've always wanted" I frown at the mention of my father, unfortunately he passed away when I was 14, murdered....I went of the rails for quite a few years, skipping school, drinking, smoking dr*** and boys. You could pretty much say I rebelled. I ran away from home for 4 years became untracable. That is why now I reside with Ma and my brother.

Of course since I've come back to my old self again Ma made me get a job and help out financially around the house, not that I believe she uses my money for that.

"Well you wanna take this bad boy for a spin" Josh says with a grin "absolutely" I shoot back, " Ma you coming?" "sorry bean I've got an emergency call in, but you guys go ahead enjoy oh and one last thing" Ma quickly stops as she reaches for me and wraps her tiny frame around mine and pulls me closer to her "Happy birthday my baby girl" Ma kisses both my cheeks before releasing me and heading off towards her own car, waving goodbye and driving away to work.

"Ekk let's go Joshy" I excitedly say as slip into the driver's seat "when will you ever quit with Joshy it sounds so...youngish" he says while rolling his eyes "hey I am young" I say as I start my new baby up and reverse out of the drive way.

I never would have imagined that on my 21st birthday I'd be the new proud owner of a slick black BMW.
