Kaia’s brain is complex. She’s thought up different scenarios, had countless ideas, but none of them had ever involved hiding away in Rosco’s house with Bren. Rosco had been taken aback when he opened his door and saw his best friend and Kaia. Kaia was sincerely shocked too. She didn’t know the ‘hide-out’ was Rosco’s house. Rosco’s dad was away for two weeks on some law related trip, so Rosco had the house to himself and as a loyal and sweet best friend that he is, he let Bren and Kaia stay over. “Are you okay?” He had asked Kaia and his eyes were kind. Come to think of it, he’d never been mean to her. Ever. “I will be.” Kaia nodded and smiled at him. He returned it and showed her to a guest room that was the size of her entire apartment with a little space added on
