Dalil opened his eyes at the sound of the bells coming from the red queen's church in the city. Yawning slightly, not making a sound so as not to wake Prince Jessy, Dalil stood up and walked to one of the windows in the room. Looking outside, locating the red queen's church among all the buildings in the city, Dalil closed his eyes and clasped his hands together on his chest, preparing to pray as the bells continued to ring loudly.
Like all the other exterminators, Dalil was a fervent believer in the red goddess, whom he worshipped and prayed in her honor every morning. So when the bells stopped ringing at dawn, Dalil stopped praying, and taking one last look outside the city, Dalil returned inside the room, glancing sideways at the prince who was still sleeping soundly in his bed.
