"Hi," Donny called out from Lizzie's side, then patted her hand and pointed.
"Hey boss," Lizzie managed when Nathan and Steve appeared in front of her.
Nathan winced as he took in all the damage she'd suffered.
"I look that bad, huh?" she asked, and he nodded.
"Good news is, you should make a full recovery," he told her, then mirrored the frown that appeared on her face.
"She can't hear very well," Steve chimed in. "Ruptured eardrums, remember?"
Nathan pulled his cell phone and held it up with a questioning look.
"I'm not sure where mine is," she answered. "Check my pockets, I guess?"
She pointed to the remnants of clothing.
Nathan hissed in a breath when he saw the glass impaled in her vest.
"Dodged one there, didn't she?" he murmured to Steve.
"She really did."
