Nathan couldn't find Steve at first. The scene was awash with firemen, members of the bomb squad, and policemen who'd set up a barricade to keep nosy neighbors and camera crews back at a safe distance.
He finally spotted his boss over to one side talking with the SWAT team leader and flashed his badge to be let through.
As he walked, his phone chirped. He plucked it from his pocket and read Faith's message.
Lizzie is beat up - one hell of a goose egg and can't hear anything - but she's awake and alert. And worried. She wants to know how the others are that were injured but we don't think they will tell us anything. You or Steve might have better luck with that.
