"Unbelievable," Lizzie muttered under her breath as she paced the bathroom, waiting for the shower's water stream to heat up - and her temper to cool down a bit.
A soft knock at the door had her closing her eyes.
"Yes?" she said, a little sharply.
"May I come in?"
She sighed.
"Knock yourself out. But I'm still getting in the shower," she told her fiancé as he walked in and closed the door behind him.
"I'm sorry, Liz. Truly. I'm a complete a*s. You've never, ever given me a reason not to trust you."
"You're right. I haven't. So, what the hell was all that about? What happened in California that would cause you to just disregard every single thing you know about me - especially how I feel about cheaters?"
