Chapter 29
When we deplaned in Dulles, two agents, one male and one female greeted us. A TSA agent also appeared. We were given a list of gate numbers for the flights and to expedite matters, a cart hauled us to the different gates. The TSA and Bureau had a list of passengers and their birthdates but had only turned up a few male passengers in the target range. They were all accounted for. TSA had passport photos that were scanned in during the check in process but those scans didn’t match Ivan as I looked through them on the laptop. Xavier also insisted we physically look at each gates in case the photos used in the passports were altered. He didn’t want to exclude a fake passport with a similar looking but not exact photo of Ivan.
We followed this process at three gates.
