Capter 6: Finding her

David POV:

When I woke up I remembered the scent of my mystery mate. I hope I meet her soon. No, I need to meet her today. I can't wait any longer. I make myself ready for the day. I mind link my sister that I want to talk to her. Hanna meet me by the stairs. Jess alpha she replied through the mind link. When I am down stairs I walk to the door but it's still closed. I don't hear anything or smell anything. Her scent is fading. There is something wrong or she is not in there and somewhere else in this pack. I can't find a trail of her, I remind myself that we are guests and try not to panic. I can't turn this pack upside down to find her. For now I can't kick in this door. I try to calm down and calm down blake. Then my sister walks up to me. " Can you smell this scent? Is smells like roses and vanilla"  I say. " Jess brother I can smell it but it's very faint. Why?" Hanna asks. " I am sure that this is the scent of my mate and I need to find her today. Blake is very restless and I can't control him all day. Unfortunately my duties calls and I have a meeting with the alpha this morning after breakfast. I want you to find her or come to know who this room belongs to. What this room is or what it leads to". " I will, I hope we can find her soon and take her home with us. I will do anything in my power to find her. I will inform the others what we are looking for" she said. " Thank you little sister" and with that we walked to the dinning room to have breakfast. We arrive and everybody is already eating their breakfast. We get what we want and then go sit by alpha jason at the alpha table. " Good Morning alpha david. Did you sleep well, was everything to your liking?" Alpha jason says. " Jess alpha I did sleep well and everything is fine. How are you? Did you sleep well?" I ask. "Thank you alpha david and jess I also did sleep well. I had lovely company in bed" he smirked. After our conversation we eat in silence and peace. Well that was awkward my wolf said. I know Blake can't stand him but we have to find her and play nice a little bit longer. I hope Hanna finds her soon and we can get out of here and never return back. I agree something is off and sketchy here my wolf said. " Let's go to my office with some coffee. To discuss business and collaboration between our packs" alpha jason said. "Just give me a moment with Hanna and I will be there". He nods in response and walks to his office. When nobody is around I say " hanna find her soon and keep me posted. I want out of here as soon as possible. Everybody of the pack you can instruct. Also make sure they pack their things so we can leave soon". I will do that brother, trust me I found her. In the worst case scenario we kick in the door. When you are finished with your meeting. Go to the meeting we will do our best trust me brother" she smiled at me reassuringly. I nod to her and then go to the office. The meeting went well. I didn't sign any contract because I needed my accountant to look at it and they understood. During the meeting I didn't hear from my sister. That I signed nothing is great news to me so we are not yet attached to the dark moon pack. I think that I am pretty smart. My wolf begins to laugh in my head. You smart? they are just stupid. I roll my eyes at him.  By the end of the meeting I heard from her. We didn't find your mate and her scent is completely gone. I think that something happened to her. Nobody talks here I tried my best. I am so sorry david. Should we just kick the door open? She mind linked me with an update. No wait for me I will now personally ask the alpha what is behind that door and I cut the mind link with my sister. "Alpha Jason, what is behind the door by the stairs on the ground floor?" I ask. "There is no door there, alpha david. What are you talking about?" he said with a brow raised. "I know you are lying and I know there is a door behind the stairs. JUST.TELL.ME." I empathise with every word. "Oohh.. that door it just leads to the dungeons" he casually says. I storm out of the room right to the supposed dungeons. When I arrive everybody gets out of my way and I kick in the door. I see a stairs that leads down. When I step in that room my eyes adjust to the little lighting there is. I see cells and immediately sniff out the room. I smell her scent faint and walks toward a cell and it have a girl in it. She is seriously injured when I look at her. When I see her face I yell MINE I know for sure that's my mate. My hard breaks immediately at her sight. Meanwhile alpha jason followed me into the dungeons and I had no clue. "Wait she is your mate? I am sorry for you really. She is weak and ugly. She is just our pack slave who received her punishment becaus she didn't listen to me" he laughed. I break open the cell and instruct hanna to call the pack doctor then I go after alpha jason. I lift him in the air. "How dare you to treat someone so badly. There are rules against slavery" I hissed in his ear. He don't answer me and just stare at me. I let him go and said "she is coming with us. I will deal with you later and the council will hear what happened here. GET OUT OF THIS ROOM NOW! I yell at him. Don't show your face at me or you will be dead". " You can have her, she is nothing but a burden to us" and he walks away. The doctor walks to my mate and I growls." Oo shut up you big bad wolf she is trying to help her" hanna say to me. I glare at her but don't say anything. "She is in bad shape but she will survive if we bring her with us to the hospital. I need to treat her now. I need an half hour and then she is stable enough to transport her to our pack". I nod and instruct 3 men to stay here and the rest to go and pack the cars. "We leave as soon as she is stable. I don't want to spend another minute in this place" with that most of them leave. After half an hour we leave dark moon in four SUV's. My mate is in my arms and I just stare at her. Under the bruises she is very beautiful. But she is underweight and she has a long way to go. I hope we can be there for her. When we arrive at the pack she is rushed to the hospital where they check her out. They make x-rays of her to make sure she have no internal bleeding or broken bones. When they are done the doctor comes to me "she will be fine but we have to put her in a coma. Otherwise she haves to much pain. They get her good, she is a very lucky girl to be still alive. You can see her now". "when are you going to get her out of the coma? I ask. "In about a week now she needs to heal and rest" the doctor said. "Thank you I will go to her" I answer. When I walk in her room I hear hanna. She nods at me and takes a stool and begins to read. "What are you doing here?" "I don't let you sit her by yourself and when she wakes up maybe she is scared of you and she will trust another female" she answers. I just nod and sit I the other stool. I just hold her hand to calm down and admire her.
