“But it’s all in the past now…” he continued. “Reminiscing about our past memories would only bring us pain… those happy memories with you, those promises and dreams—we couldn’t make them come true. Let’s leave it there. Those memories will remain memories, and they should stay that way.”
“Forgiveness is the only key to making new happy memories…” she whispered softly, playing with her fingers. “Forgive me… for everything I’ve done, Damon.”
