Ciel tried hard to keep his cool after Serena and her parents left the room. His mother was watching him silently. The only sounds he heard were from the TV and his mother’s sighs. This was not the right time to confront her about Serena. His mom needed to rest; she looked worried and troubled. This was not good for her. She shouldn’t be stressed.
“Alright,” he gave up and tiredly leaned back on the sofa he was sitting on. “I want you to rest, Mom. I will fix everything, okay? I don’t want you to worry.”
His mother nodded and smiled weakly at him. “If you don’t want to stay tonight, I’ll let you.”
“Clane and Dad will be here soon. I’ll wait for them before I go.”
“Are you going back here?” There was a hint of sadness in her voice, her face hoping he would say yes.
