Damon's husky voice made her look up at him. She wiped her tears with her fingers and tried to offer a small smile, showing him that everything was okay.
It was a very emotional conversation with her brother after years of avoiding that topic. Reminiscing about their painful past and all her heartbreaks only hurt her and made her cry. But it also eased the burden inside her chest.
