His Chosen One

Chapter 4 - Sacred Beasts

I sat at a small round table, eating dinner with Kyorin and Ms. Jera, all the while listening to her ‘nag’ about the incident that occurred just this afternoon. In truth, after the whole escapade with Kyorin at the red-light district, I passed out. When I awoke, I was face to face with a big giant snake. Because of the sleep-induced state of my brain, I screamed so hard I passed out again. Now here I was, after a refreshing bath, eating dinner with them, albeit this time, he was in a less heart-dropping state.

I sat in between Kyorin’s legs. He insisted, and after constant bickering, he grabbed me by the waist and placed me between his legs. Every now and then, he would sniff my neck or trace his fingers now my spine. All of which he knew would get a rise out of me. At this rate, I would lose my virginity to a snake!

“By the way Erina, how did you actually fall into the lake?” Kyorin asked. Somewhere along the course of the meal, he had transformed his lower half into his go-to tail form. It seemed he was more comfortable this way.

“Could it be you are the clumsy type, Lady Erina?” Ms. Jera asked.

I blushed. "Of course not. A strange hand came out of nowhere and pulled me in.”

“Oh my, a strange hand? Master Kyorin, do you know anything about this?”

Kyorin didn’t say anything, so I turned back to look at him. His eyes were very narrow, also like he was lost in thought. Even his thinking face was terribly beautiful. Unintentionally, a heat bloomed from my core, causing me to shiver a bit. He must have noticed it because his head turned to look at me and his tongue made its weird oscillatory motion, showing that he was sniffing me out whatever. Once our eyes made contact, a turned swiftly to face my food.

Ms. Jera must have noticed the look in her master’s eyes because she quickly excused herself under the guise of preparing our ‘sleeping quarters’. The feline woman!

“Erina…” His voice called with a low hiss, like he was trying to arouse me with my own name. “What are you thinking about?”

“I wasn’t thinking about anything.” His tail shifted under me, bringing me closer to his body. His cool temperature contrasted deeply with my warm skin. He buried his face in the crook of my neck sniffing deeply. At this point, I wasn’t sure how I felt about this action.

“I-I want to sleep. I’m tired.” I blurted out.

He looked up at me, a mischievous glint in his eyes. But he did not oppose.

“What are you doing Erina?” He asked, looking quizzically at me. Both of us had changed in more loose comfortable clothing as it was time for bed. He watched as I took the large number of pillows on his bed, making a demarcation from his side of the bed and mine.

“Since I’m not allowed my own room, I’m building a wall to protect my virginity. The first day, I was very…um ‘tired’ so I wasn’t paying attention. But not today. And don’t you dare cross over to my side of the bed.” I said in the most serious tone I could muster.

Kyorin looked moved closer to me but didn’t cross the boundary. He seemed to be enjoying my actions. “But we’ve been sleeping together every night.” He said. His tail trailed down my exposed legs, teasing me all the more.

“That was only one night. And I wasn’t even…um aware. And it’s not like I have a choice.”

Kyorin looked at me as if I was talking gibberish. He then looked at the barricade. Then, his tail casually scattered the pillows all over the bed. “Now no more barricade.” He said with a sly smile.

“No!” I was actually hurt that he just did that.

His tail grabbed my waist and placed me on top of him. “You are so cute Erina. You do things that make me want to tease you more. You’re so easy to read, and so honest. It’s because you’re so cute, that I fell for you after all.” He said, placing me beside him on the bed.

Huh? Fell for me?

“Come now, let’s sleep.” He said. His tail brought up the covers, which he placed over the both of us. Under the covers, his tail wrapped around my arm, and he placed a kiss to my temple.

Sleep? I obviously couldn’t fall asleep, not after what he just said. I closed my eyes, waiting for sleep to carry me, but it didn’t. How could he just say that with a straight face. A guy like him. So beautiful…fall for a girl like me? I thought he just wanted to sleep with me and become a dragon?! Finally, I couldn’t help myself.

“H-How long have you been in love with me?” I asked. I didn’t turn to look at him, but I felt like I knew he was going to answer me.

“Hmm…I wouldn’t know. After all, I’ve been waiting for you for hundreds of years.” He said.

I sat up. “What?! Hundreds of years? We just met. We don’t know each other very well and we aren’t even from the same world. How can you just casually say that you fell for me?!”

He didn’t answer for some time, but he sat up just like I did. He looked all serious. No mischievous glint, no sly smile. Just a calm, serious expression.

“We sacred beasts have a chosen one from the moment we are created. When the time comes, the chosen one dies in their world and will come here. That’s how it has always been.”

So…I’m like his…destined partner? “But…that means you can’t even choose for yourself. What if I came and you didn’t even like what you saw. You wouldn’t be able to boldly claim that you’ve been in love with them for hundreds of years.”

“Rest assured, the chosen one…will always fit its beasts’ preferences. Ever since I met you, you’ve shown me one expression after another. I never get tired of watching you.” He said, a smile on his face. “You, Erina, are already perfect in my eyes.”

I blushed so hard I wasn’t sure which was more uncomfortable. My hot face or my crazy beating heart. I had died a second time.

“Kyorin…You’re still a snake?” A voice came from the foyer. Kyorin and I sat in a large room. He went about looking at some papers. I guess even paperwork existed in this world. Even though the texts I held looked foreign to me, I could somehow understand what the writings were. I had successfully spent a week in this world, living as Kyorin’s chosen one. I had somehow gotten used to the dynamins of this world. Kyorin would tease me from time to time, sometimes he would feel me up too. But he never went further than what I wasn’t comfortable with. He hadn’t even kissed me yet. Kyorin and I glanced to where the voice came from. Approaching us were two men, just as beautiful as Kyorin. Though I wouldn.t lie, his beauty didn’t quite compare.

“To think we came all this way to celebrate your exulted form.” The one who spoke before said again. He was tall, but like Kyorin. He had long black hair in a half-down ponytail. He was draped in black and white, his expensive linen matching that of Kyorin. His bare chest was exposed, and I could get a clear view of his ripped six pack. Two white cat ears pointed out atop his head, and his mannerism was almost feline.

“Avalon, Valtor...” Kyorin addressed them.

“Are they your friends?” I blurted out without thinking twice.

The black-haired one approached me, smiling coyly. He took my hand a placed a kiss. “Nice to meet you, Kyorin’s chosen one. I am one of the four guardians of the west, The White Tiger. I go by the name Valtor.” He said. I blushed slightly at his actions. There was no denying that he was just as handsome as Kyorin and just as glib-tongued.

“N-Nice to meet you. I am Erina.” I said quietly. He seemed to be quite happy with my response because he smiled brightly.

“This one behind me is Avalon, the ruler of the north and the one of the Four Guardians; the Black Turtle. He is quite shy and doesn’t talk much. But he means well.” Valtor said.

I looked in Avalon’s direction. H simply nodded at me. I did the same. Avalon didn’t look like the others. He had long bangs covering his eyes, so I could.t make out their color. His hair was a dark pink and very long, braided down to his waist. He was also shorter than the other two. Even a bit shorter than me. He gave off a younger brother vibe. His hands were placed together inside the sleeves of his kimono, but his aura and expensive dressing didn’t pale in comparison to the other two.

“Anyway Kyorin, you are a bit lucky aren’t you. You bagged a real beauty, didn’t you?” Valtor asked mischievously. I looked at Kyorin, hoping he could elaborate. Surely he didn’t mean all the other chosen ones were ‘not attractive.”

“Both Valtor and Avalon’s chosen ones are men.” Kyorin said.

Oh. Men. Men?1 I blushed furiously. Hundreds of images flooded through my mind about men on other MEN! I wasn’t biased about people’s preferences, both something about it screamed forbidden passion.

Kyorin’s tail wrapped around me, bringing me close to him. “What are you thinking about Erina?” He whispered huskily down my neck. I blushed even harder.

“Nothing!” I said pushing him away.

“Anyway, I’m just thinking of your burden, chosen one.” Valtor said hopping giddily, his eyes dancing.

“My burden?” I asked. Kyorin had stopped playing and was sitting calmly at my back.

“My, you don’t know. Snakes have two penises.” He said, jovially, joining his two index fingers together to form a ‘two’. “Since he will soon be a dragon, he will have two dragons. You would need to make room for one extra.”

I heard a glass crack in my brain. Two…oh…I knew there was a reason why he wasn’t making his advanced seriously. How on earth is it going to…It’s not going to fit.

“Valtor, stop putting ideas and scaring Erina.” Kyorin said, using his tail to give me some bit of comfort. “Besides she doesn’t have to do all that right now.”

“Really?” Valtor asked. He sounded genuinely surprised.

“After all,…” Kyorin said, flipping his bangs out of his face. “I plan on totally pampering her first.”

The glass shattered and I felt my soul leave my body. I fell back dramatically, and of course, Kyorin caught me, probably happy I had gone willingly into his arms. But I just needed some form of support.

“If she doesn’t want to, you can just send her back to her world.” Avalon, who hadn’t spoken this whole time said.

All heads turned to look at him. Valtor eyes were telling him not to meddle and Kyorin eyes were screaming ‘keep your mouth shut’.

“Huh? What do you mean?” I asked.

“Avalon.” Kyorin warned.

“I thought I was going to die again if I went back.” I said looking at Kyorin for some answers.

Everywhere became suddenly quiet.
