Cleaning up the Mess

I wake up to my phone buzzing. I have 4 missed calls and a new voicemail not from last night. I listen to it.
"Did you run? Please tell me you didn't leave me…" the voicemail gets fuzzy from there and cuts out. I call the number back.
"Hello? Are you alright? You haven't answered any-" I cut him off
"It's okay, I was asleep. At home. I'm with my friend. She's zach's girlfriend kinda and when you left last night he started calling her," I tell him
"Do you need me?" He asks
"Not right now, he isn't here. He just wanted to talk to her. I said no and told him he could talk to her in person," I begin to get up and I walk out of my room. Leaving Alice sleeping on my bed and I head downstairs. Lillian is here this morning at the breakfast table.
"Hey kiddo I haven't seen you in a few days, I've been working. I saw Alice was here, is everything okay?" She asks
"Oh I'm on the phone with dillan, but zach brought her to Oregon to change her without her knowing or Walter knowing. Don't worry I've talked to Walter and we know about where zachs at," I tell her.
"Hi dillan," she smiles
"I'll call you back later," I say. I knew he was about to stop me, but I hung up anyway and sat next to my aunt at the table.
"Are you okay?" She asks
"Yeah," I sigh "I found my mate and it just isn't going as well as I thought it would," I add
"Who? Walter or dillan?" She asks
"Dillan," I answered.
She looks a bit surprised
"Personally, I thought it was walter," she says
"I tried going out with him, but…"
"You can't stop thinking of your mate I know, your uncle might've died before you were born, but he is my one and only true mate. Even know I can't go out with anyone else without my fox becoming disgusted with me for betraying my mate," she sighs
"What If your mate asked you not to tell anyone about it, but when you acted normal, he got jealous and made a huge scene…?" I ask
"Well what did you do?" She asked
"I… kissed Walter because dillan was flirting at the bonfire with other girls," I sigh
"What did he do?" She looks interested
"He got Walter off of me and yelled that I was his mate In front of everyone and embarrassed all three of us," I tell her. "I came home and hid for a bit, but we worked it out" I reassured her.
"I'm sure you two will figure it out, it was hard with your uncle. He already had a girlfriend when we met," she sighs then gets up "I have a few plans today and honestly I was thinking if you can handle yourself I should start looking at my own place. Even if I stay at the lodge for a while," she says
"I guess if you want to…" I reply.
She heads out the door, and I decide to make breakfast. Alice comes down stairs not long after,
"I got a text. Zach is 15 minutes away," she tells me
"Did he say exactly where?" I ask
She nods no. I turned on my phone. I look at my contacts… if I call dillan then he might be happy I chose my mate to protect me, but I could choose to call Walter. My alpha. I tap Walter, hoping Dillan might be with him so I don't have to choose.
"Hello?" He answers
"Is dillan with you?" I ask
"No, why," he sounds slightly upset at me mentioning him
"Zach's 15 minutes away," I tell him "I need you both,"
The phone is hung up and not a few moments later Dillan and Walter are at my door.
I let them in obviously and Alice looks at everyone confused,
"What's going on?" She asks.
We really need to tell her everything now that Zach is involved more. It takes a moment for me to decide who to ask, but I finally decide my alpha should explain everything to her,
"Walter she needs to know," I tell him
He nods and they go upstairs.
"If I shift, you shift?" Dillan looks at me. I nod. We don't know if zach is dangerous or not right now, but we will be prepared if he is.
He knocks on the door. We answer and head outside before he can push his way in,
"I want to see her," zach pleads.
"No, not yet," dillan says, he sounds commanding
"Please, I need to tell her I didn't leave her there. Come on fawn," he turns to me "you know I'm not that mean,"
I want to feel sympathy, but all I can picture is Alice standing where he is. Dripping wet and broken. I look away from my friend, I'm ashamed of his actions right now. He goes to touch my face to make me took at him, but dillan slaps him away,
"Do not touch my mate," dillan's voice gets low and angry. I start to feel the temperature rise as if he wants to shift right now.
Zach steps back.
"Mate?" He looks at me and I nod.
The front door opens and Alice pushes between us and runs to Zach and he throws his arms around her. We decide to head inside and sit down.
"She decided she was going to do it," Walter says once we get inside.
"Well it's better than her being scared of us all and running away," dillan says. I nod, Alice has no where else to go. It's silent for a while.
"Im sorry, I didn't know he was your mate," Walter finally breaks the silence and looks at me.
"I never told you," I reply
He smiles, realizing I'm not mad at him.
"He didn't want anyone to know," I add
Dillan starts to look a bit agitated. I don't think he likes being reminded of that moment.
"He probably was going to keep sleeping around," Walter says to me while looking at dillan
"I was trying to protect her alright. A Lot of girls realise that after you, I am alpha, so they want to be my Luna. And if they knew about her. Who knows maybe one of them could decide to go nuts and hurt her," he tells Walter
"And if our dates were successful I would have made her my Luna! And I made sure the whole pack knew!" He shouts back "honestly you should be honored, she's the last full blooded female as well. I wouldn't try to hide her. Ever. You're lucky she hasn't rejected you," Walter growls then storms out.
Dillan looks a bit shocked, but then turns to me,
"Do you want to reject me?" He asks
"Not at the moment," I answer
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"That right now, you are my mate, but if you keep this up, this whole I don't want her being mine attitude, then I might later," I sigh
"You don't think I want you?" He looks sad "of course I do, I have since we were kids," he gets close to me and pulls me into a kiss. It's a bit forced, but I relax into it. I remember that even though he is my mate. I haven't seen him since I was six and still barely know much about him. I try to pull away, but he holds me there. Finally I decide to push him away softly.
"Sorry. It's hard to ignore my instincts," he sighs.
"We need to focus on this relationship," I tell him "we've been so busy, we have barely gotten to be around each other," I add
"I will talk to Walter about having some time to focus on this," he says
