I woke up. I look at my phone. Alice has texted me. They are going to change her today and she wanted me to be there. I text her back and let her know that's not really how it works, I can't technically be there. Only the person changing her can be, but I let her know I can be outside the place she gets changed in incase she needs me. I grab my coat and head downstairs. My leg is healed. I grab my truck keys and start to head out. I was going to go to the hardware store to pick up a few light bulbs. The house I inherited is old and a few lights are burnt out. I made sure to wait for a day when Dillan wasn't working. I need some space from time to time.
I finally get there and buy my bulbs. I look out the window and there's dillan. In the shoe shop? With a girl? Not Wendy though. My fox feels upset again. I'm trying not to jump to conclusions… until I see her kiss his cheek like a girlfriend. The young fox employee sees me staring,
"That's Katie, she's a girl that lives on our property I think. She was traveling for a while, but I see… she's… back…" he notices me turn bright red and storm out. I slam my truck door shut and drive off.
"That d**k!" I shout to the country song playing on the radio "where is my phone," I start looking around my seats and floors and find it.
Dillans contact. Blocked. "I'm going to reject you!" I scream at his texts as I delete them.

Dillans p.o.v
I ran into Katie on my way to work to pick up my check and she dragged me into the shop. I've never really been in here I guess... she's asking about a pair of red shoes. If they are really loi vatons or if the sole is just painted red? Why would someone paint the bottom of their shoe red. I laugh to myself. She kisses my cheek and I am no longer lost in thought,
"What are you doing?" I ask
"Sorry just got caught up in the moment!" She smiles.
My fox is telling me something is extremely wrong. I'm looking around everywhere. I don't see anyone or smell anyone's scent… of course Katie's perfume is overwhelming. Not in a good way. She nudges me,
"Are you alright?" She asks "you don't look so good I should take you home!"
"No that's fine, I drove here. I dont really want to leave my truck parked in town…" i mumble
"I'll drive!" She goes to get the keys out of my pocket and at the same time my fox starts crying and freaking out. I catch her hand.
"Do not touch me like that," I drop her arm and storm out. What's happening to my fox? The moment I set foot outside I can smell fawns scent everywhere. I know she wasnt following me, because her trail starts at the hardware store… She knows I don't work today. Did she see me? I try calling her, but it says my number is blocked? Katie is opening the door to chase after me, but I'm already in my truck driving away.
I'm breaking every speed limit, but maybe I can catch up to her. I look down. 89mph in a 65mph. I get to the fork in the road. I want to turn down the road that leads to home, but I can see a dust trail heading down the other direction. My instincts tell me to follow it, so I do. I can see her rusty orange truck through the dust and I tap my horn to signal her to stop. She ignores me and keeps going. I roll my window down,
"Fawn! Pull over!" I shout
She gives me the finger. I'm slightly angry now so I speed up, pull in front of her and slow her to a stop. She immediately gets out and starts walking away from me.
"Hey! Where are you going?!" I call out after her. Wow she's faster than most girls are and I have trouble keeping up with her.

Fawns p.o.v
I don't want to be around him right now. I'm livid. I'm kind of heart broken because of the mate thing. I'm tired of him doing this. Before I know it I'm sprinting away from him.
"Hey! Talk to me please!" He's calling after me. I finally stop dead in my tracks causing him to trip a bit,
"What do you want?" I yell at him
"You weren't answering and I could feel you. What's wrong?" He asks again
"How many more girls do I need to threaten?" I sigh hugging myself close "if you truly don't want me," I'm tearing up "then let me go,"
He runs up to me pulling me in tightly,
"I don't want to let you go!" He says upset.
My fox realises if I want to stay with him I need to start the mating process with him. There's no doubt we are attracted to each other and we are mates, I barely know him yet we act like we've been dating for a while. I decide to kiss him and pull him closer to me, he's a bit taller so he leans down a bit. I slowly back him up against the tree near the stream next to us. He gasps a bit and pulls away,
"W-what are you doing?" He asks
I decide to answer him by kissing his neck a few times and he gently pushes my shoulders back so I'm looking at him,
"We should wait… as in maybe not here?" He suggests. At least he isn't saying no… I'd still respect it though. My fox is pleading to keep going… I keep kissing his neck and biting it and he picks me up and sets me on the hood of my truck. He's pushing me down and getting on top of me now. His hands start to lift up my shirt when he stops for a moment,
"Maybe we shouldn't be out here?" He suggests again.
"But both trucks are here, we'd have to both drive home. I don't want to wait," I plead with him. He smirks a bit and kisses my cheek.
He leans in to whisper, "Good girls wait,"
I get so aggravated by his teasing that I push him away gently,
"Fine, I'll wait," I turn around and get into my truck to head home.
