The Last Female *Complete*

Mated

A few months later after that night we spent almost every moment together, we had a few lunch dates, we uh…. Mated… a few times… I woke up the next morning in dillans arms in my bed. I don't remember much of last night, but it was fun. I grab the sheet and slip out of bed and head into the bathroom with a change of clothes. I've been checking on my phone every day and I've been checking on Emily as well. She's getting close to due, yet no one has chosen to adopt her baby. She didn't want to find out its gender, she didn't want to know hardly anything about this baby. I start thinking… I head out into the room and dillan is awake,

     "Hey," he smiles

     "Hey," I'm still thinking

     "What's up?" He asks

     "Well no one wants to adopt Emily's baby and I can't stop thinking about what will happen to her if no one does…" i sigh and climb into bed next to him and he puts his arms back around me,

     "Are you saying you want kids?" He smirks

     "Oh geez, I don't think so," I chuckle.

It does make me think though. Maybe I could

adopt her baby? 

I go about my day after that. I see Alice as I'm walking through the property. She is a fox now and Zach got lucky she was also his mate. They're getting engaged. I helped him pick out the ring since I'm her best friend and he wanted help. Dillan hasn't really talked about that. Now I'm wondering if he will. I walk into Emily's room where they are letting her stay in the small clinic. It's cute and they've let her decorate it with a few flowers and a few drawings. I've brought her a few things as well. Sweaters and such. She looks good in the pale blue sweater, it will fit even after she gives birth. She's sitting by the window, but jumps up and runs over when she sees me,

      "Fawn come here quick!" She shouts and grabs my hands and puts them on her belly. The baby is kicking. This is the first interest she's taken. 

      "Wow it's a strong little one," I smile

      "The nurse says you can hear it moving too! I just can't bend like that," she chuckles 

I get down and listen and oh yeah, it's moving Allot. I get back up and smile and nod. She smiles,

      "At least it's alive, one of the nurses talked to me about risks and how the baby could just not make it or turn upside down or a few other things, but this one is fine. The doctor keeps assuring me. Maybe if its healthy and cute enough someone will give her a nice home," she smiles 

     "About that, Walter hasn't found anyone yet that will take it in," I ask "what will you do if it isnt… adopted?"

     She thinks for a moment, "well, could I stay with you? While I took care of her and such?" She asks. I nod yes. I wouldn't let her become homeless,

     "Hopefully someone will adopt it by then though," she sighs. I nod to agree. 

We talk, play a few board games since she never got to as a kid, and we listen to some music. I leave and stand outside for a moment.

Dr. Willams is walking by and sees me and smiles,

      "Hello fawn, visiting emily?" He asks

      I nod "yeah, she's doing so much better than when I met her," I add "she's so much happier,"

     He nods back "I agree," 

     "Well I was just heading out," I smile. 

We say goodbye and I hop in my truck. I try to call Walter, but he doesn't answer. I decide to head home. When I do no one else is there. Dillan isn't home. I called Walter again and got no answer. I grab something to drink and the front door opens, dillan walks in,

     "Hey," he smiles and hides something in his jacket pocket

     "Where have you been?" I ask

     "I was talking to walter," he replies 

     "About….?" I raise my eyebrow in curiosity 

     "Nothing…." He says while rushing up the stairs

     "What are you hiding?!" I shout and follow after and push the bedroom door open when he closes it 

      "What do you mean?" He asks

I kiss him and try to reach my hand in his jacket, but he catches it,

      "Bad girls don't get my kisses," he smirks 

I pout and flop down onto the bed,

      "Come on what is it?" I ask again

      "I'll tell you when I feel like it," he smiles and walks into the bathroom, and locks the door, With his jacket inside with him. Ugh. I can't even sneak in to get it. I sit down at my desk and open my laptop. I started a housing foundation where we build houses to house the abused women we saved. I had to explain myself to the other alphas and so did Walter and dillan. Once they found out what the pack we attacked was doing, they didn't mind so much anymore that the alpha was just wiped out along with everyone else. So far most of the 42 women now have homes, places to stay, or houses where they room together. I've helped most find work and I helped all the children get into the public school nearby. All 23 of them. I even did a bake sale in town and raised the money to buy their school supplies. I didn't have any new emails, but the last one I got had the time, date and place of the ceremony where dillan will be appointed as alpha. I never thought about it until about a month ago, that would mean I would become Luna. Lucky with all the work I've been doing people will have no problem with me helping out as Luna.

I decide to close my laptop. I feel extremely sick and I need that bathroom! I start banging on the door,

    "Dillan I need in," I plead

    "You can't have my jacket," he shouts out of the shower

    "Dillan, please," I feel so sick I can't hold it anymore so I run down stairs and grab the garbage trash can and just sink to the floor with it. After about 15 minutes dillan walks out,

      "I'm sorry I didn't know you were sick!" He comes over to me to rub my back

      "I-its alright," I sigh 

A few days later and I wake up just as sick as the 3 days before. I wobbly sit up in my bed and dillan walks in,

      He hands me an envelope, "open it," he smiles. I do and I start to read. 

By the state of Oregon I grant custody of Emily Doe's child to the care of, Dillan Miller and Fawn White…

My eyes widened,

      "We adopted the baby?" I ask

He nods and smiles

Dillans p.o.v

I wanted to tell her for a while. I know this girl matters to her and this baby has been on her mind a lot. I love kids, we have a home, and I have a job, so I don't see why we couldn't take her in. I talked to Walter a while ago and he agreed to it immediately. I went online and ordered a crib and a stroller. I wanted Fawn to be surprised. She's so sick though… I called the doctor and she has an appointment later this afternoon to check her up.

I help her into my truck and we take our time since we are a bit early. Fawn is still so excited I got the paperwork to adopt though. We pull up and we get her in and I decide to wait in the waiting room. They examine her for a while I guess, because it takes 25 minutes before she comes out, she sits by me and dr. Willams walks up to both of us,

      "Dillan she's pregnant," he smiles

She shyly smiles too. I'm honestly excited. I'm going to have two kids! Two babies! I get to have the family with fawn that I always wanted as a kid.

Fawns p.o.v

I'm excited to know I'm pregnant, but I feel weird about finding out after we had just adopted Emily's baby. Of course I'm still adopting her, but I know two babies can be a lot of work. Luckily Dillan is excited and he keeps asking questions and talking about cribs and such with the doctor.
