Chapter Five

Silver woke up with a terrible headache , her head swelled up in pain . She couldn't speak, she just felt lifeless with excruciating pain .
Unaware of what was going on with Silver Andrea and Elsa were giggling and gisting
“Queen Silver slaps the b***h”. Elsa had jokingly said she needed to open a page immediately the after incident her followers increased in multitudes. The school blogs were on fire each talking about Silver slap to Anastasia.Elsa was mulching her popcorn smiling endlessly.
Silver tried with all her might to get up from her bed, her body felt… off.
Her hands trembled slightly.
Her heart raced for no reason.
And her chest ached but real, tight, and sharp. Her head banging in pain .
She took a deep breath, steadying herself.
Not today. Please, not now.

Downstairs at the courtyard café, Andrea and Elsa brought her over unknown about her health. Rafael leaned on a pillar nearby, lazily eating a chocolate bar.
Silver managed a small wave, but the sun was too bright. The crowd, too loud. Her head throbbed. She held her head in pain.
“Silver are you okay!”Andrea called.
But Silver’s vision blurred.
Everything tilted.
And the next thing she knew was succumbed into unending darkness , she fell directly at Xavier arm’s.
Crestwood Clinic
When Silver opened her eyes, fluorescent lights buzzed above her. She was lying on a narrow cot, IV attached, her head pounding.
Andrea sat beside her, chewing her nails nervously, she was looking so worried and Elsa paced back and forth nearby.
“You scared the hell out of us,” Andrea said softly. “You just collapsed.”
Elsa looked at her worried ,she wasn't good at showcasing her emotions but she literally felt scared .
“I’m fine,” Silver whispered. But she wasn’t. She felt drained, like her body had betrayed her again.
The nurse entered with a clipboard. “You’ll need rest. Your blood pressure dropped, and you had an irregular episode. Are you sure this is the first time?”
Silver paused. Then lied. “Yeah. Just stress.”
“You need optimum rest and some supplements to rebuild your strength” The nurse said as she looked at her reassuring her.
Elsa just patted her and gave a reassuring smile.

That Evening – Kitten dorm
Silver sat in silence, wrapped in a blanket, trying to process everything when her phone rang.
MOM.
She hesitated, then picked up. Did she find out about it ?
“Silver.”
Her mother’s voice was soft, but tight with emotion.
“I got a call from Crestwood. You fainted?”
“It’s nothing—”
“You said the treatment was working,” her mom cut in. “You promised me, Silver.”
“It is working. I just... I didn’t eat enough. It’s a flare-up, that’s all.”
“ You don't have to worry at all mom I will take my meds often”
Then came the words Silver had been dreading.
“I’m pulling you out of Crestwood. I’ve already spoken to the dean. You’re coming home.”
Silver’s heart dropped. “You can’t. This is my life. You don’t get to steal it from me just because I’m sick.”
“I won’t watch you kill yourself for a diploma,” her mom said quietly.
“ I won't watch you die like the way your father did I would fight against death even if I have too” her mom said with determination
Then the call ended.
Silver sat there, numb. Tears trickling down her eyes
“Why on earth is this happening to her”
She stormed out of the dorm, needing air, needing space only to run right into Xavier under the dorm archway.
He saw her red eyes and pale face.
“Hey—”
“Don’t,” she snapped.
He frowned. “What’s your problem?”
“You,” she said, voice trembling. “You why do you always show up unannounced? Does the world revolves around you. What do you want exactly.”
“Where is this coming from?” he asked, voice rising. “Because I drank your damn water?”
“ You fainted directly in my arms and you are spewing this out ?
“And you want a thank you for that ” she shouted. “ For a matter of fact I never needed you to rescue me in the first place ,So stop playing savior here!”
“You think I’m playing?” he said, stepping closer. “You think I don't have better things to do with my time ”
“ Or do you think I am fascinated with your appearance”
“You are such an ingrate silver” Xavier said coldly
The words caught her off guard
“And that’s the problem,” she said softly. “I never demanded you in my life so think all you want to”
“ You know what you are just a damn arrogant b***h who craves for attention and nothing more” He said angry.
Xavier clenching his fists under the streetlight, He regretted ever paying her attention ,he walked away angry leaving her standing right there, She stood still watching his broad view disappear into the night.
Meanwhile…
Inside the girls’ dorm lounge, Anastasia sat with Trixie and their third wheel, Ruby ,watching the video of Xavier walking off, clearly pissed.
“That girl is poison,” Anastasia hissed, pausing the clip on Silver’s smirk.
“Since she got here she feels like she is queen here,” Trixie added. “And did you see Rafael? He follows her around like a dog.”
Anastasia smiled coldly. “Good. She doesn't know what I have instore for her, we’ll ruin her slowly.”
“What’s the plan?”
Anastasia leaned back, flipping her glossy hair. “My birthday party. I will use my birthday party as a public humiliation for her . And her little friend will help me with that”. She smirks
“You would regret ever coming to Crestwood SILVER KLAIT” She said with so much venom

Ethan sat on the grass behind the sports complex, sketching quietly in his notepad. He wasn’t the type to crave chaos—he preferred calm corners and music no one else understood.
“Nice shading,” a voice said.
He looked up to see Andrea, the queen of slap friends , holding two cups of bubble coffee
“For you,” Andrea said, handing him one.
Ethan blinked. “What for?”
“I got it in extra so I decided to give since you are the one available here”Andrea said with a shy smile, sitting beside him.
They sipped in silence. Comfortably.Andrea was blushing secretly as she stared at him.
Later That Night
Silver stood by the fountain, staring at her reflection in the moonlit water. Her eyes was soaked in tears
She didn’t hear the footsteps but she felt them.But she was immensed in her world.
Rafael sat beside her without saying a word.
“Are you fine ?” he asked quietly.
Silver froze. “Yes I am”
“I didn't mean to scare you like that ,I am sorry “ He said worriedly
She looked away. “It’s fine”
“You can just let everything out , I am here for you” he promised. “And I’m not leaving you ,either.”
“I promise all is well ,I just felt a little emotional” She reply putting up with a fake smile
And as the silence stretched between them, the tension shifted.
“She felt better as the cool breeze swept her face”
“ If you don't mind , would you like to go on a date with me” Rafeal asked
“ Yes who wouldn't want to go on a date with a cute face like you” She replied jokingly.
She smiled and Rafeal felt an inexplicable feelings right in his heart.
