Jesse had picked me. I was over at the Tanner's house for dinner that night. The girls had invited me over. They wanted to make a nice dinner for Danny that night. Danny was going to be nominated for some award. And the girls had needed help in the kitchen. They did not want the uncles to know about the dinner either.
"Dad will love this spaghetti. He loves garlic bread to" says Stephanie as we cook together.
"I am baking dad a cake. Devils food" says DJ. "He loves chocolate anything" she jokes.
"It sure smells good in here ladies" I brag on them.
"I am so glad you are dating uncle Jesse now" says Michelle. Making me blush.
"Thanks girls I am to" I giggle.
"Skye what are you doing here?" Jesse asks me as he comes in the kitchen. "Not that I am not glad to see you sweetie" He comes over to my side then kisses me hello.
"The girls needed my help. To make Danny a dinner" I tell him. "I came over right away"
"Why are you girls making dinner? What did you do?" teases Jesse.
"Nothing uncle Jesse. Dad is getting an award. He was in a magazine for hottest male in this area" says Stephanie.
"He was bachelor of the month" says Michelle. "whatever that means"
"That means your dad is what women want" I tease.
"Okay then" laughs Jesse.
"Here is the article" says Stephanie as she tosses it to Jesse.
He looks over the piece on Danny Tanner reading it.
"Gross" Michelle says as she reads it with Jesse and makes a face.
"Danny will be pleased" I laugh.
"Dad needs this. He needs a girlfriend" says Stephanie.
I wondered who would want to date Danny Tanner. They said there was someone out there for everyone! So there had to be someone out there for Danny Tanner to. Someday they might find him!
"Hey Jess guess what?" Joey asks as he comes in the kitchen.
"What?" asks Jesse.
"Guess who is leaving town" Joey announces.
"I don't know. Who?" he asks Joey.
"Becky" says Joey. "They are getting someone to replace her. She got a show out in Colorado. She is leaving because you two officially broke up" Joey tells him.
"It was about time. I could not leave things the way they were, and I was not happy with the way things were going between us" says Jesse.
"So, Becky will be gone for good" says Joey.
"And they are replacing her on the show?" says Jesse.
Joey nods. "Danny will have a new cohost. A Vicki Larson" says Joey.
"Interesting" I tell them.
"Dad is a bachelor of the month" Michelle tells Joey. "he won't need Vicki"
Joey and Jesse laugh at that remark.
"What is going on guys?" Danny asks coming in.
"Dad we were trying to surprise you!" groans DJ.
"For what?" asks Danny.
"Because you are bachelor of the month" mutters Michelle.
"I am? Me? Gosh oh gee" he laughs as he blushes. They show him the article then he blushes.
"Danny congrats" I brag on him.
"Thanks Skyler" he answers me.
Someone knocks on the door.
"Is this the home of Danny Tanner?" a pretty woman asks.
"This is" Danny answers.
"I love Wake Up Sanfransisco" the lady brags. "I was wondering would you like to go out sometime on a date with me?" she begs desperately.
"I would love to" Danny answers her.
"Gag me" laughs Jesse.
Just as one lady leaves another one knocks looking for Danny.
Soon the phone rings. Danny was getting calls from women in the area.
We all soon have a nice dinner together. I was thrilled that Becky was leaving this area. And she was no longer going to be a threat to me or Jesse. That we could begin dating. Things were really looking up. I hoped that Danny and this new Vicki lady would get along well for the show.
"Thanks for helping with the girls tonight" Jesse tells me as he holds me close to him. I was done helping the girls in the kitchen. We finished cleaning up.
"No worries. I love those girls" I say.
"They sure missed you these past weeks. As did I" he admits.
He kisses me and I melt into him.
"We need to plan our first official date" he declares. "Where would you like for me to take you? The movies? The disco? Where?" he asks me.
"I do not care as long as I am with you" I say softly. "I waited for this moment for so long. I thought it would never happen" I admit.
"I am sorry for making you wait" he tells me. He kisses me on the lips.
"Jess?" I ask.
"Yes?" he asks me.
"I hope that Vicki will replace that Becky and we can all move on with our lives" I say. "I am sorry but that is good news for me about Vicki"
"I know. I do not blame you for feeling the way you do about Becky" he answers me.
"I do not want to waist time talking about her" I giggle as I hold him close.
"So why not talk about our real first date. And the many others we will go on after that" he teases.
I blush with pleasure. "I would like to talk about that"
"Is it really over with you and Mark?" Jesse worries.
"It is all over with Mark" I promise him.
He kisses me. "I am sorry for asking" he says to me.
"I understand why you are worried. We have so much to be celebrating now" I tell him.
"We will on our date" he tells me.
"Now about that date. I would not mind going to the movies or out to a nice dinner" I say.
"Then music at the Smash Club? Dancing?" he adds.
"You are a romantic" I giggle.
He kisses me. I melt into his embrace. I was so happy to be with him. I was happy to be his. At long last. Finally Jesse's full attention was on me. They way I always deemed it would be.
"I love you so much and I plan on telling you and showing you how much I love you" he vows.
"I love you Jesse. I really love you" I say.
"I know, you have always let me know. And now we can properly express that love. Our love story has begun" says Jesse.
Someone knocks on the door. We go to answer. There was Becky with a box.
"I came to return Jesse's things he left at my place" Becky tells us.
She hands the box to Jesse.
"Thanks" he answers.
"Jesse I am sorry things ended this way between us" she tells him. "for what it is worth"
"Me to" he replies as he places the box down. "I am happy now. I am with Skyler"
"I am glad you are happy. Goodbye Jesse" says Becky before she leaves.
"Sorry about that sweetheart" Jesse tells me as he holds me again.
"Well it is over with. I am glad" I sigh. He kisses me.
"We are not over with. We are just getting started" he softly tells me.
I melt in his arms. "I love you" I add.
"I love you" he vows. We had so much to celebrate.
