DAXTON
I invite the King and Queen, along with the King's niece to my office. We need to sit down and have a chat with the woman who tried to warn my mother and father before they were killed. I say killed because this is exactly what happened, and ever since being away from Crownsmere, I've had a lot of time to think and dwell on the things that transpired. I never believed my family were attacked by rogues, but that is the excuse that we were given. Sebastian is most likely right, Allen is a shady character. I never noticed before, I was too worried about trying to move on and start my life over. It never worked out for me, but it did lessen any suspicions I could have had toward the man with all he had done for me. I should have paid more attention, shaking my head I position myself in my desk chair. I order Axel to grab 2 other chairs from the opposite wall of the room to move them closer to my desk for Axel and Alarah to sit next to the King and Queen, before we get started on our mission. "So, who is this woman?" I ask Alarah. "She doesn't put a name to herself, she says she is an advocate for all things in the realm. She is there when a situation calls her forth, and that's really all the information I can give you." She says, finding her face looking at the floor. "It's alright, Alarah, this is a start. And that counts more than anything right now." I assure her. "How do we do this? Does she have a phone number, or?" I look to her, awaiting what we're supposed to do next. She grabs the phone from its base in front of me, and starts to dial a number before placing it to her ear. "It's Alarah, can you talk now?" She says to the voice that picked up on the other end. "I see, well here he is." She replies before handing me the phone. I look at her confusedly, but take it anyway. "Hello? Can you help us?" I ask, the voice silent for a moment before answering my question. "Hi dear, how are you coping?" The woman sounded like a heavy smoker, older and like she has been around for awhile. "Can we drown out the small talk and cut straight to the chase?" I say, not wanting to waste any more time before we get to work. "Ah, Yes, the blunt Alpha Daxton. If only you knew how much you are truly like your father. Let's see. What do you want to know?" She retorts back. "Everything. Start from the beginning. I want to know the truth of what happened to my mother and father, and if my baby brother is truly dead." I answer, and she scoffs. "There's no room to discuss over this blatantly easy recorded electronic device, child. Could you meet me at my abode, say 9 p.m sharp tomorrow? We don't want to draw any attention during daylight. Alarah knows where to go." the mystery woman appeals, and I'm intrigued about the things I can finally learn. "We'll be there." No sooner I finished my sentence I heard a click, and the call was dropped.
"Do you even know this woman, Alarah?" Sebastian asks her, and she looks down before looking back up at him. "Well, I guess you could kinda say that. She helped me find someone I was looking for." Alarah didn't seem too keen to give up her inclinations. "Who, Alarah? What reason would you need to locate anyone for that matter?" Moira steps in, and I watch her gazing curiously at Alarah, waiting to see if she would be revealing. "Yes, Aunt Moira, She helped me locate my mate." I watched as Sebastian and Moira both looked at eachother, and back at Alarah, eyes wide. "Your mate?! Alarah, why didnt you tell us this sooner? Who is your mate?" Sebastian questions her, and she doesn't seem to want to reveal anything more. "You will soon find out, Uncle." Sebastian looks at me, and I shake my head. Not me, even though I may have a slight crush, I cannot act on it as I'm still waiting to find my own mate. That would be disrespectful in our world, you don't stake a claim on something that doesn't belong to you. And she, as beautiful as she might be, has no attachment to me.
KARIELLE
I start telling everything I remember before I woke up, from the beginning. Emile and Alpha Christian stare at me intently as I recount each piece from my brain as it happened. "Karielle, you're sure you've never saw either of these women beofore?" Christian asks, and I try to think as far back in my mind as I can "No, I've never seen these woman before my dream, vision, whatever you want to call it." I reply. Christian seems in deep thought, while Emile is the one to ask the next question. "Do you remember any details about your surroundings?" I take a moment to think back, one little detail I missed in explaining. "It looked like it was some kind of party, and there was a beautiful garden. That's as far as I can get into my memories." I explain. "Well, I guess it's time I contact an old friend of mine. She can tell us more, or at least interpret any meaning of what's been happening lately." He tells Emile and I, before grabbing his things. "I'm gonna head out, You two go home to my place, and I'll meet you back there tomorrow night. There's some things I need to deal with." Christian says before walking away, leaving just the two of us. "What can we do, Emile?" I ask. "Lets just go home, maybe we can check the pack library and see if we can find anything new regarding our situation." He tells me, and I stand up getting ready to gather my things, the nurse walking in with my discharge papers. "Evening, Alpha Christian told me to bring these, I'm glad you both are feeling better. If you have any issues at all, please don't hesitate to call or stop on in." She says, and I nod at her before taking the paperwork she handed me. Emile grabs his belongings, and calls his car so we can make our way back to Midnight Pack grounds.
We arrive at the front door, only to see that the place had been ransacked. We walk in surveying the house, looking for anything in particular out of place. I follow Emile up the stairs to his parents living quarters. He throws the door open, papers on the floor, glass broken, and every drawer emptied around the floor. "Mom was here, I can smell her scent. Only it's different this time." He says, and I'm not understanding his last remark. "What do you mean it's different? Scents can change?" I ask him, hoping he would explain. "Karielle, My mother isn't just a werewolf, judging by her scent, she's a witch too." I cover my mouth in horror at his revelation "A witch? Emile, how can you tell? You would have surely known this before today, no?" He looks at me blankly, as if he's trying to put something together in his head. "Not only is she a hybrid, she's been hiding it this whole time. That sorry excuse of a mother, I should have known." He says bitterly, and I can feel the hurt rolling off of him in waves. "Hiding it this whole time? But how can you hide the way you smell?" I ask, confused. I don't know much about all supernatural, but I had always thought ones scent would always be the same. "Witches have a cloaking ability. If she could hide this big of a secret from us, I wonder what else she could have hidden." Emile says, looking like a lightbulb went off in his head at his own thought. "Karielle, If my mom has been cloaking herself all this time, this could lead to an answer we've been looking for!" He tells me gleefully. "I'm afraid I don't understand your point, Emile." I say back to him. "Karielle, my mom can cloak. Which means she was fooling us all this time. You can't remember anything from your past, right?" He questions me, and I suddenly feel the spark hit my brain. "She could have repressed my memories, too." I say, Emile looking at me with a small smirk. "We have to call my father, he's going to want to hear this." He stalks off, walking down the hall to his father's office. But wait. If she suppressed my memory, there has to be a way to get it back, right? I may just be able to get my answers after all.
