Day of the Party

MOIRA

Today is my Karielle's 5th birthday. It's the day she will be able to do more than just be a watcher in the pack. We are celebrating with our friends and family, and have invited other neighboring packs in Crownsmere as well such as the Diamond pack, Eclipse pack, and the Midnight pack. We want everyone to celebrate how much our baby is loved and how grateful we are to have her here, and her day should be as special as it can be. However, the feelings inside are draining me. Milandra and Elliott are the wonderful parents, but no one truly knows the secret we've been keeping. This has been weighing on my mind heavily as I wish we could just be a normal family, but I know that's impossible as our stakes are high of attack if anyone were to find out. At least we are able to be in her life as her aunt and uncle, and one day she will understand. So far, everything has been working to our benefit, and we have to keep it that way.

"Milandra, are the maids finishing up with the cater table? The food should be done soon and the Omegas in the kitchen will be bringing it out." Moira asked her sister. "Yes they are working on the last ribbons as we speak, what's with all the nerves?" Milandra asked as she noticed Moira was looking a little fidgety and anxiety ridden. "We've just never had something as big as today, and I'm always worried that someone somewhere will put a damper in our plans. But, I'm not going to stress it today of all days, as we know how special this day every year is to me. I just need a glass of water, I'll be back." Milandra stared at her sisters retreating form. Moira has long dark brown hair that reaches her hips, athletic and curvy at the same time, with tan skin that glows within the sun, something akin to a goddess. She has beautiful sparkling sea foam green eyes that almost glow when you look at her. Milandra also has dark brown hair, but not as long as her sister's, and brown eyes that are almost golden to match the glow of her subtle tan skin. For the longest, Milandra has secretly been jealous of her sister. Now that she is getting the attention with raising Moira's daughter, that has taken the burden off of her a bit, because she is no longer in her sister's shadow.

"Clara I need the food outside pronto, we have 30 minutes and our guests will start arriving." Milandra said to one of the omega staff headed to the kitchen. 5 minutes later, the Kitchen staff were carrying out the food and laying it perfectly set on the cater table. We had prime ribs smoked in glazed barbecue, sushi rolls lined with flowers in between, and all the sides and desserts anyone could imagine for a gathering within the castle grounds. In the meantime, Sebastian is looking for his wife. "Milandra, have you seen Moira? She was out here helping finish up the decorations and disappeared on me." "Yes she was just a little nervous due to all the company we will have today, she went to the kitchen to grab a glass of water and hopefully calm her nerves." Milandra replied.

Milandra has always had a crush on Sebastian, though it has been much better Since she married Elliott, and that has changed so she now looks at him like a big brother, and he is the same with treating her as a little sister. Sebastian is definitely a site for sore eyes, He has black hair with blue eyes that have a gold ring in the middle, which isn't typical in anyone around here. He is a Sorcerer who married into our pack and became the King. Moira and Milandra's mother and father, the previous Alpha and Luna King and Queen, died in an accident while on the way to a vacation for their anniversary, and that left Moira, being the oldest, in charge of the Castle and the pack affairs. Moira met Sebastian while traveling to the other packs and the sorcerer's realm to do new negotiations for alliances and peace treaties, since her father was no longer here to do the bidding, He was next in line for prince of his realm, but it seemed as the Mood Goddess had other plans in store.

In our pack, we have our Alpha King and Queen as the head, Our Beta Ashwin, Eryx is our delta, and last but not least Monique and her husband Sibil as our top warriors, who have a daughter named Monika next in line. Together, this pack runs smoothly with all of us taking the lead. As the party continues today, we have Ashwin and Eryx keeping an eye out for any trouble so that we can enjoy the day with no setbacks. "Moiraaa" Sebastian yells a little louder than normal so his wife could hear him over all the commotion of setting up the party. "There you are! I've been looking all around for you, my love, the guests will be arriving any minute and we need to be there to welcome them with Milandra and Elliott." Sebastian said as he finally located Moira coming out through the back door of the castle. "Sorry honey, I was just grabbing a quick drink of water before we have to meet the guests from the other packs, I don't want to break a sweat and wanna make sure Karielle's day is as special as she is." Moira and Sebastian headed to the front doors to join Milandra and her husband, who were ready to greet the first guests of the afternoon. We could hear the cars coming up to the gate to be let in by our guards, with one in particular seemingly impatient and obnoxious, as always. The Eclipse pack, of course, with their Alpha Carl and Luna Manyra, and I'm sure right along with them is their Beta Lennox, whom they never go anywhere without their second in command. They had their radio sky high while honking their horn and revving up the engine of their off-white shiny mustang. We never really liked those 2 as they act superior to everyone else, even though they're the weakest of the town, but it wouldn't be fair to invite the other two packs without extending an invitation to them also without causing controversy.

Upon arrival of the first guests from the Diamond Pack, Alpha Giuseppe and Luna Layla, along with their Beta Bex, greeted the King and Queen and the parents of the night and walked the path through the castle to the courtyard garden to see the beautiful view. There are pretty fairy lights hanging up along the white picket fences that extend around the whole back courtyard garden, and drift down the fencing in a manner of light curtains. There are also pink and gold balloons hanging along the lights with gold ribbons and balloons miscellaneously but perfectly placed around the garden figures and flowers. It looked like something out of a fairytale, and the little girl is surely to be surprised at the results. Next came the Eclipse pack, whom their obnoxious inhabitants are already known, and then following Is Alpha Christian, along with his Luna Margaret and their Beta Hunter from the Midnight Pack, they all made their way to the gardens to enjoy the scenery and to converse with the other guests.

"Now that our greetings are over, we have to go grab the star of the party." Milandra spewed to her husband as she was ready to begin the party and start the night. "I'm sure she's impatiently waiting for her mama to get her and see what we were able to put together for her, she's gonna be over the moon babe!" Elliott readily told his wife, hardly able to contain his excitement for his daughter and her special night. Tonight will be the last night she's unable to train, even though she's not old enough to gain her wolf for full training, she at least gets to start somewhere for now.

While walking to the nanny quarters, Milandra and Elliott ran into Queen Moira's assistant, Omega Jenny. "Hey Milandra, is there anything I can help you with before heading back out to serve the party?" Jenny asked, Milandra refused, as she was only grabbing the birthday girl and then heading out, but thanked her for asking and mentioned she would be joining them in just a few minutes. "Oh before I forget, here is the card for the party organizer who helped put this whole thing together, she asked me to give you and Moira one." Milandra grabbed it and stuck it into the side pocket of her dress before thanking her and going their separate ways.

"Karielle! Oh my girl you look so stunning! Are you ready to head out?" Milandra asked, picking up the nervous feeling her daughter was exuding. Karielle is wearing a Gorgeous light pink and Gold dress. The main fabric is a light pink silk with a lace type of overlay, with gold around the seams, and a mermaid train on the bottom of the gown adorned in gold sequins. She even has gold long gloves that go up her arms to match! Karielle is a stunning beauty, even for a child as her ethereal looks aren't of the ordinary. Karielle has dark brown hair with a streak of blonde in the front of her long hair, which goes down to the bottom of her waist. Her eyes are like something from another world. A purplish pink hue with faint gold sparkles shining through, making them seem as if you're looking at a sunset that has stars in the night sky gleaming in the background. "Karielle, honey, whats wrong?" Milandra asked as they're walking through the halls of the castle to get to the gates to the garden. "Mommy, what if I mess up, or someone laughs at me? I know I'm new, but I've watched you guys so much that I feel like I'm expected to know more because my aunt and uncle are the King and Queen." Karielle was pouting, and being too hard on herself, If only she knew how truly strong she is. Milandra stops their walk to move in front of her daughter, and lowered herself on one knee to be eye level with her. "Kari, look at me, there is nothing you can do that will be wrong or frowned upon, Just because the queen is my sister and you're aunt, we are not the same people, we are different, and different is okay no matter what it seems like. No one will laugh at you, because they are all there to do the same. Learn something new everyday, and to continue their experience. Don't forget, they all were you at some point." Miley saw the automatic drop in her daughter's shoulders, noticing the ease of tension and anxiety she was feeling. What her mother told her made her feel ten times better and more confident, and she was ready to take her party and her training head on. King Sebastian announces their arrival as they are coming out of the French doors and into the garden. Immediately there was a big round of applause, Karielle not expecting this had a lone tear fall down her eye "Mommy, this is beautiful. you guys did all of this for me?!" she emotionally but excitedly addressed her mother. "Only for the best little girl in all the world!" Elliott replied along with Milandra emitting her own response "The one and only, our Princess and the only eligible heir for the throne of Crownsmere! You're gonna do great sweet pea, and we are all rooting for you!" Suddenly, Milandra started seeing spots that blurred her vision, and had to hold on to Elliott to keep her balance. She suddenly felt sick and dropped to the ground, and while falling forward in the grass, right at the front of the stage, darkness took a hold of her into sweet oblivion.
