First attack

MOIRA "We've been checking for days, and no sure answer on anything! Our girl has to be around somewhere!" Sebastian looks at me, pacing back and fourth around my office. "I know hunny. At least we have something!" I say in hopes to raise his confidence. Of course we're not going to have a definite right away, it's not like someone would enter her in their database under her birth name. That would be stupid, but also makes it more difficult. We already have 3 women from 2 different packs to look into, under what could be considered suspicious circumstances. "Can we get more information on the new pack nurse added a week after our girl disappeared into Eclipse pack? What about the exchange student that was brought into Midnight pack? We could start there." I coo to him, walking up behind him to massage the tension in his shoulders. "You're right Moi, I'm getting ahead of myself. I know she won't just appear, it's going to take work and research. I don't know, I guess I was hoping for a miracle. Its been so long, I just want her to appear before us." He's right, it is going to take work. We could have all the obstacles in the world and we would defy every single one if that meant finding our girl. Karielle would be 17 now, that much closer to finding her wolf and finding a mate. "I'm gonna put a call out to Alpha Carl, he can enlighten us on the details of the nurse added to the pack 12 years ago. If he doesn't want to ruin our alliance, he will be forthcoming with me. While I do that, why don't you reach out to Alpha Christian, find out about the exchange student. Or better yet, maybe we can make a visit." My husband smirks at me, knowing I would rather see for myself in person vs making a phone call. I walk over to my desk, and Alarah barges in my office with a look on her face I can't decipher. "Aunt Moira, can I talk to you about something?" She asks, and I oblige. "Of course babe, anything you need!" I tell her. She sighs before pulling out the chair on the opposite side of my desk, and plopping her curvy self before me. "How did you come out about your mate once you found Uncle Seb?" She asks, the pink on her cheeks moving up a shade. "Alarah, have you found your mate and not told me?!" I snap, and she looks away from me. "Tell me about him, Alarah a mate is quite literally your soulmate. What's going on with you?" I never thought she would be too shy or reserved to talk to me, Alarah has always been close with me since before Karielle was born. "It's complicated. Interspecies mating is frowned upon, and I'm scared to even have anything to do with him for fear of retaliation from the rest of his kind." She groans before looking at me, looking for my advice. "Ally, does it truly matter what anyone else thinks? The realm may not be on the greatest of terms, but no one can deny the blessing of our Goddess herself. She wouldn't pair mates without a reason behind it. You are meant for eachother." I hum, her taking my words into consideration. "Aunt Moira, what if my mate was Alph..." Intrusion on the southside border. Everyone get to their safe spaces, now! I hear the mind link to the full pack, coming from our Delta, Eryx, at the border. "Alarah, we have to go, now. We're under attack!" I scream, jumping up to grab her arm to rush to Sebastian's office. We arrive to find him already gone, knowing he went to fight with our warriors. He was never one to sit back, always a leader in battle. "I'm going, Aunt Moira." Alarah tells me, pulling away from me. "Not without me, you're not." We run through the corridor, coming to the stairwell that leads to the bottom floor. Almost tripping over a step, we run frantically trying to get outside towards the ongoing attack. Upon opening the door, there were multiple black figures in the sky and on the ground, our warriors seeming to be on the upper hand. I shift into my Black lycan wolf, charging at the first figure I see. I grab him by the arm with my fangs, clamping down before slinging him across the courtyard. That was almost too easy My wolf, Reina, says exactly what I'm thinking. I look around for my next victim, when I see Sebastian running around the land, snapping necks and slinging bodies left and right. Looks like we weren't needed after all Reina giggles. Alarah is to my left, using her power as a sorceress to manipulate the minds of the beings, burning them from the inside out, while simultaneously using her hands to facilitate her physical power, disintegrating them into nothing but a pile of ashes littering the ground. As everyone is fighting, I start to have a feeling that something isn't right about this attack. I look around, everyone of our fighters distracted with this fight. Then it hits me, Oh my god, the stone! Srambling to get back to the castle. I run inside, taking the steps 4 at a time in my Lycan form, silently praying to myself I wasn't already too late. Before I get to our safe door, I quickly shift back. I raise my leg as high as I can before Ramming my foot into the base of the door, slinging it open with just one kick. Vampire Reina noticed the scent before I did. Let me take over, I can subdue him She says, and I push myself to the back of my mind, bringing her to the forefront. "Drop it Bloodsucker." Reina orders him, letting out her Lycan Alpha Queen Aura, and it doesn't phase the vampire. He takes the velvet satchel that holds the stone, putting it in a bag he was carrying on his back. He lets his wings out, but doesn't notice the woman behind him, bringing him to his knees with one deadly look. The vamp screams out, raising his hands to his head in a poor attempt to help the pain. "You thought she was alone, huh?" Alarah chuckles. While she had his attention turned towards her, Reina slowly walks toward him, her glowing seafoam green eyes locked on her target. You won't be spared, bloodsucker Reina spits, before a loud cracking sound rings through the air. The vampire is dead. "That was close." I tell Alarah, after Reina gave me back control. "There's a traitor in your pack, Aunt Moira." Alarah relays, and I know she's right. The only way someone could break through our barriers to catch us off guard, is if they had inside knowledge of our defenses. We'll be changing those. As Alarah and I stand there, trying to catch our breath from the fight, A woman runs from the back of the safe, grabbing the bag from the pile of ash, just before another vampire flies in and swoops her away. We tried to run after them, but they had disappeared quicker than we could catch up. The traitor is mine Reina growls, and I know she feels betrayed. It won't be pretty when she catches her. "Jenny. Jenny is the traitor." I snarl, before running out of the safe room to find my husband, the only thing on my mind is how I'll make her suffer when I catch her. For now, I have to find my daughter before they find a way to use the stone. S/N: Sorry for the short update today, I promise I'll make it up tomorrow. What are some ideas you want to see next?
