Noelle Knock, knock. Why does my head feel like it’s pounding? Oh yeah, I drank myself numb last night. Knock, knock. Man, this must be bad if I even hear pounding in my head. “Mrs. Marino, it’s Dulce. I’m going to enter now.” Jesus, it was someone at the door knocking, not in my head. This is when I should swear never to drink again, but why lie. I’m guessing my new life here will require a drink or two to get by now and then. Dulce enters my room carrying a tray. “Buenos Dias, good morning. Mr. Marino asked me to bring you aspirin, carbonated water, and crackers this morning.” She places them next to my nightstand.
