It was nearing Christmas which basically means, it was almost time for the exams, too. After it was announced that André had gotten a perfect score at the remedial exam, Verity had come over to him and apologized about what had happened at the restaurant back in Italy.
But maybe it just hit him way too hard to even forget about it that easily. He took her apology but didn’t bother talking to her again.
Even to this day, Verity still felt terrible whenever she sees him with someone else. Kind of like a bummer when Briar was almost certain that he’d come back to her once she had apologized about it.
