Turning to Eden, he put on an apologetic smile. “Hey, Eden, I’m really sorry, but I just got a call from the complex,” he said, walking over to her. “There’s an issue with the boiler, and they need me to leave so they can handle it. They’re sending someone over to fix it, but… they’re saying it’ll take a while.” Eden frowned slightly. “A boiler issue? That’s a little odd.” Thomas gave a small shrug, trying to keep the situation light. “Yeah, I know.
