Seraphina screamed and rushed forward, no longer able to maintain her soft, graceful act.
"Alpha Aric, she must have tricked you! She’s just a lowly Omega—ugly and stupid. How could she possibly be worthy of becoming your Luna? I was the one who saved you! The Moon Goddess must have made a mistake. She must have used some filthy trick!"
Alpha Aric slowly straightened and placed himself in front of me.
The temperature around him dropped to ice.
"A mistake?"
He stared at her coldly, rage pressing beneath every word.
"Seraphina, is it? Then tell me. When the broken silver blade was removed from my shoulder, was it done with the left hand or the right? Which strain of wolfsbane poisoned me? What was added to the antidote?"
