It was currently 4 am and Mark had just got off a long call with Derek. His doubts and fears were laid to rest, to some extent, as Derek had clarified that he was enamoured by Arya since the day she had come for her interview, the reason why he hadn't told him anything about selecting her as his PA, his reluctance to be a part of the bet because he had taken an extreme liking towards her and didn't really want Mark to eye her in that manner, his protectiveness towards her that prevented him from acting on their bet or even allowing Mark to do anything to her. Now that Mark thought about it, he could vaguely remember how Derek used to behave whenever he used to bring up Arya's topic.
