Dan couldn't sleep peacefully the entire night as his conversation with Susan made him introspect his behaviour. Was he justified in his actions when it came to Arya's boss? What was it about him that made him act like this? It's true that the guy had done nothing to insult him or force Arya to do something she wouldn't want to do. But it could all be an act. He was wary of this act ending some day and poor Arya would have to bear the brunt of it. He couldn't get himself to easily trust him, like he could with that other office friend of hers.
