Derek managed to reach the venue on time for the meeting. He had asked Arya to meet him in the parking lot and had driven like a crazy man on mission. What he hadn't realised in his haste was the look of complete and utter terror that was etched on Arya's face. Yes, she was scared of speed. After all, her parents had died in an accident. Not that she would expect her boss to know her fear of speed but she couldn't help feeling sick. When they finally reached the restaurant, Derek noticed how pale she looked and was immediately concerned. "Hey, are you okay?"
She immediately flinched upon hearing his voice and managed to croak out an unconvincing, "I am fine." He didn't believe her but decided to question her later or else they would be late for the meeting.
