I hadn't thought it was possible but somehow I had succeeded in testing the theory and it was true.
The Beast liked Aria. Like was a very strong word, considering that I had only gotten this theory from the incident in the forbidden forest.
Well, it was well before that. The demon had not hurt her when she had appeared in my room. It had not touched her in the forest and had seemed to go to sleep instead.
I had not slept next to a woman in ages, horrified that the beast would spring up on me and I would wake up in blood but I had not only slept beside her the night she was drunk but had zero nightmares.
