Lilac Eyes

Long auburn locks down to my waist, gray and golden eyes, 5'2 and curvy. Fair skin and freckles, a cute round butt; perky DD boobs. I was good to look at, a pretty thing for an Omega. Although I felt my best friend was much prettier. She was a Beta's daughter. Shoulder length black hair, bright green eyes. Plump pink lips, a curvy body with the right amount of everything where it was needed. She easily stood 5'5, her voice like an angels. She was perfect compared to me, it was no wonder the young Alpha was after her. Even the human's wanted to try and dance with the wolf within, but they never really did get much courage to do so.  "Hey Devika!" I heard her voice call out, I turned a smile on my lips. "Hey Heaven!" I embraced her in a hug. "You're coming tonight right?" The New Moon Ball, I mentally rolled my eyes. I couldn't think of a better way to waste my time; oh yes I could. I could be studying for our Math Final. I gave a nervous grin, "I don't know Heav...I don't think an Omega should really be attending..." I stopped talking when I noticed the angry look in her eyes. "You are coming, we are going dress shopping now." She grabbed my wrist, I groaned softly. I still had 3 classes left, but I was so far ahead I guess it really didn't matter much. We made our way to her car, a pout on my face. I had the money to buy a dress, I just didn't really want to be somewhere I was never truly wanted.  I guess if it means that much to Heaven though. I could settle for her. I hopped in the passenger seat, listening to Owl City- Fireflies while she sang her heart out. We soon arrived, looking for a good dress store. Finally finding one I was immediately stopped by a*****e clerk, "I'm sorry, Omega's need to stay outside." She said snarkly. Heaven growled, making the girl bow. "Oh! My Beta Heaven, I didn't see you!" She said, panic in her voice. "You didn't see me because you are too busy harassing Omega's, not she's with me so leave us. I would like someone new to help us." She folded her arms across her chest. "O-Of course I'm so sorry." The girl stammered running off to find someone new.  We continued on, looking for a dress we liked the best; that's when my eyes landed on a silk grown with an A-line, featuring a crescent moon embellishment at the end of the neck line. It was long and flowy, with hints of glitter in the fabric. "That would look stunning on you!" I heard a kind voice say, looking behind me it was the head seamstress herself. "I designed this dress in hopes I would find someone just as beautiful for it be on, please try it on!" Slowly I nodded, taking the dress delicately to the fitting rooms. Once it was on, I was terrified my boobs would fall out, they were pushed up; looking bigger than they were. The dress fit my curves as if this dress was made just for me. When I stepped out, I saw Heaven wearing the same dress, but in a velvet green with the moon flipped opposite of mine. The seamstress smiled, "Ladies, you both look wonderful!" She made me smile. I felt beautiful and hot in this dress. Agreeing we would match, we paid and left to go find shoes to match.  I found a paid of black strapped heels that had a few crystals dangling down to wear, it would be prefect. We had a while before it was time to get ready, so we decided to have our nails done. I chose a long coffin nail with matte black nails that Ombre from a nude color at the base. Heaven choose a short stiletto nail, matching my pattern but green. I was feeling more and more like the old me...before I became an Omega. "Let's go to my house and get ready, I want to do your makeup." Heaven smiled as we paid, grabbing a Starbucks coffee on the way out of the mall to her car. I slowly sipped my drink, thinking. "Yeah, I could do some beach curls in your hair!"  It was nice to feel human. To not worry about the formalities, to not worry about stepping on the wrong toes. To just have fun; be ourselves. I know Heaven could feel it to. "Devika..."Her voice trailed off, I looked at her, noticing tears. "Hey what's wrong?" I asked worried, had I upset her? "If we find our mates, can we pinky swear we'll stay friends? Even if our mates are enemies?" She asked. I had forgotten about her sister, she never talked to Heaven anymore. Her mate's pack was at war with ours, I pulled her in tightly for a hug. "You are my yin to my yang. My moon to my sun. We will always be friends." I told her, holding back my own tears. I heard her giggle through her tears, hugging me back. "Thank you sis." She always called me sis, had not for the big difference in our hair color; some say we look like twins.  We made the long journey back to her house, singing at the top of our lungs having our own little jam session. It was nice for once, this feeling of complete serenity.  However, I couldn't help but feel on edge, my wolf had been nervous all day and I didn't understand why.  "Earth to Devi!" She snapped her fingers in my face, I blinked; oh right. Heaven was doing my makeup. She'd chosen a black smoky eye with an iridescent shadow on the lid. Long, fake lashes and a cat eye liner. We finished my look with a glittery lip gloss. She started on her own, doing a half cut create of a dark green and a similar iridescent shade as mine. She didn't bother with liner, just some false lashes and mascara. Her mom peeked her head in, smiling gently. "Girls you look amazing." She had tears in her eyes. "Momma." We both said hugging her. She hugged us tight, laughing at herself for crying. "I have something for you both." She said softly, sitting us down and doing our hair. Curling Havens and straightening mine out a bit. She pinned out hair back with a pen, they could lock together; mine was a black moon; Heaven's a white "Your wolves are so yin and yang, your father and I used to joke you two would be mates." She said as she remembered the past, Heaven and I looked at each other for a moment. "Now look at you guys, 19. Graduating High School." She looked in the mirror at us, it was scary how much we truly looked alike.  I squeezed my best friend's hand tightly, we had one hour left before the ball, but it was just a dance why was her mom acting like this? We soon got dressed, saying by to her parents as we left. They were on duty tonight; and wouldn't be joining us. That seemed fine, after all we were fresh 19, and had plenty of training for self defense.  As we walked in, the attention turned to us. Many unmated males growling at us, clearly liking what they were seeing. We just ignored them, walking toward the bar. That's when we could feel it; our alpha. He was coming up to us, smiling. He was a year older than us; he had taken over for his father just a few months ago. "Ladies, I am so glad you are gracing us tonight." He kissed mine and Heaven's hands. I could see the blush on her cheeks as he touched her. "Thank you Alpha Cole." We both said politely. Heaven couldn't peel her eyes away from him, it made me giggle a bit. He was grinning at her, his eyes going to a pure blue color.  "Mate." They both said breathlessly.  I felt a surge of happiness flow through me, my own wolf getting excited for our friend. I kissed her cheek, going to the bar leaving her and the alpha alone. It was strange, they had met multiple times; yet today the bond finally showed. Moon Goddess, you would in mysterious ways. I slowly sipped on my drink, loving the warmth out brought to my body. Turning around I let my eyes drift over the crowd; there was that nervous feeling again? My wolf pacing in my mind, whining and whimpering. It felt as if something bad was going to happen. That was impossible-  Thats when everyone heard it. Terrified screams and howls. Tonight was supposed to be a good night. The smell of blood hit my nose, making my wolf angry. We were under attack.
